Oh how I (and most beauty lovers) love fall time. Summer is great and all but I don’t like wearing that much makeup in the summer because its just so humid in halifax. Since it has been relatively hot still I haven’t been pulling out all my fall makeup yet but here is what I’m using to transition from summer to fall.

I feel like I’m going to start getting more into liquid lipsticks and this one is awesome. I’ve had this one since last fall and it’s the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita. It is a nice browny mauve color with just a hint of rose. It is my go to lipstick in the fall because its a nice rich color and dries to a matte finish.

I’m definitely lusting over the new colors in this range and I might have to pick myself up a couple of them. Any recommendations?

Berry shades are very fall appropriate so I’ve been so drawn to them this month. I chose this blush because it’s got great pigmentation and blends super easily. This is the Shameless Bold Blush in Promiscuous by Marc Jacobs. The color is also such a nice berry color that leans a little more towards red than purple. I do find that with this blush you do have to use a light hand because the product transfers to the skin so well. And I can’t help but like the slim and sleek black packaging of Marc Jacobs.

This powder is a cult favourite and I have heard so many people rave about it. And for good reason! This Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder in Translucent makes the skin look so flawless. I’ll sometimes just apply BB Cream and then this powder on top and my skin looks like I’ve put a full coverage foundation on. The powder is also so finely milled and silky feeling. It blends like a dream.

I got this nail polish in my August Ipsy bag. It’s from a brand I have never heard of called Trust Fund Beauty and the color is elegantly wasted (no, really). I think it’s a perfect transition color from summer to fall. It’s a lilac but it’s a darker lilac with some grey in it. This polish goes on very smooth but does take two coats to be opaque. It also looks really good on the nails.

I got this Maybelline quad a while ago and have been getting back into using it more. The color is Mocha Motion. I know fall is usually about warm neutrals but theres something about a cool toned eye look that makes me so happy. The colors aren’t the most pigmented but blend really well and can be built up. The lack of pigmentation is actually what I like about this quad because it creates a soft smokey eye.

What has everyone else been loving for September? I’m really in the mood to get into all kinds of fall makeup looks. Leave me your recommendations!
