Lip Looks to Wear Fall 2015

Lip Products are my weakness. I have more lip products than anything else in my makeup collection. So, when fall rolls around I like to pull out all my darker nudes, berries, and brown products. I love doing a very simple eye look, throwing on some false lashes, and pairing it with a darker lip. It’s such an easy look and looks so put together.

Most of my selections are on the browner side because brown lips are so in right now. You’re probably wondering why I haven’t chosen any lip glosses. And to that, I don’t really love glossy lips in the fall. My go to fall lip is matte and the only way I’ll get a bit of sheen on my lips is if the lipstick I’m wearing is a cream or satin finish. I’ve chosen a mixture of drugstore and high end lip products. There is so many more lip products I love for fall and so many I want to get my hands on.

This Pro Longwear Lip Pencil by MAC in Morning Coffee is a great fall lipliner that goes with so many different lipsticks. These Pro Longwear Lip Pencils are also my favourite formula of lip pencil because they’re so creamy. This pencil is such a great dark pinky brown nude color. It also has a hint of purple in there so like I said it can go with so many lipsticks.

This has really quickly become one of my favourite fall lipsticks. This is the Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in Cathedral. It goes really well with that lipliner I just talked about. This lipstick has a nice satin matte finish and is a pinky brown nude color. The only negative thing I have to say about this lip liner is the packaging. The top does not stay on very well. I put this lipstick in my purse and the top came off so when I reached in my purse I accidentally dug my nail into the lipstick which is why it has that dent in it. But, the lipstick is quite long lasting. I would say it stayed on my lips for about 4 hours before it started to fade.

I really love purple lips and this one by Milani in their Color Statement Lipstick is gorgeous. The color of this one is Rose Femme. First off, the smell of this lipstick is quite fruity and almost watermelon smelling. It makes me want to wear is more just for the enjoyment of putting it on. It’s definitely a purple mauve color with a cream finish. Its quite opaque and very comfortable to wear on the lips.

I want to try some of Milani’s matte lipsticks. Any good ones?

Not only is this the least expensive lipstick in the bunch but probably lasts the longest. This is Wet n Wild’s Megalast Lipstick in 914C Mocha-Licious. This and the Kat Von D lipstick I just mentioned are quite similar but this one is a bit more brown. Also, the Kat Von D one is about 5x the price of this one. This lipstick has a matte finish and is a bit drying on the lips so you just have to put a balm on before you put this lipstick on. It’s a gorgeous fall lip color from the drugstore.

I’ve had this lipstick the longest out of any of the ones I’m mentioning. And for very good reason. MAC’s lipstick in Diva is such a nice matte dark red color. You definitely need a lipliner with this lipstick though because it does bleed a little. This formula is very matte and again a little drying but I think all MAC matte lipsticks are. I love this lipstick for fall but I also bring it into the holiday season.

I really love Rimmel lipsticks. I have a couple and this one is my favourite. This lipstick Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick in 14 is such a different kind of nude. It looks a little peachy in the picture and in the swatch but it’s much more beige then what shows. The formula on these lipsticks is a very comfortable and this one has a matte finish. I don’t have any other colors like this in my collection. When I’m wanting to be fall appropriate but not wear a dark lip, I’ll go for this one.
