Colourpop Cosmetics Ultra Matte Lip
Liquid lipsticks have been a huge phenomenon this past year. Every brand has been coming out with them. I had heard so much about everything from Colourpop Cosmetics and I especially wanted to try the Ultra Matte Lips. The last time I checked they had around 44 different shades in this Ultra Matte Lip and they cost $6 (USD).
The 4 colours I got are Trap, Tulle, More Better, and LAX. Before applying any of these colours, it is best to exfoliate your lips and use a really good lip balm. Before you put them on, just wipe off the lip balm. I do find these the driest formula of liquid lipstick I have tried but some of the colours are worth it. I did try and do lip swatches for the first time in this post!
Trap is described on the website as a dusty greyed out beige (greige). It also has a little hint of purple in there as well. This liquid lip goes on very smooth and pigmented. I have been after a colour like this for a while. It just such cool and different colour than brands normally put out. It can really pull a cool toned look together. This color is by favourite.
Tulle is described on the website as a dusty mauve burgundy. It’s a gorgeous fall and winter colour but I think could be brought into spring as well. This colour does look great on pale skin (which I happen to have in the winter). It’s slightly more patchy than Trap and again, you need to prepare your lips!
More Better is described on the website as a deep violet wine. This colour is going to look amazing on summer nights when you don’t want to wear and coral and want to go a little darker on the lips. This would look great with bronzed skin, a ton of highlighter, and a ton of lashes. It can look more purple on some people and then more of a wine on some people!
LAX is described on the website as a vampy blackened red. It is exactly how they decided. It is a very deep red and it is gorgeous. My lips were getting so dry by the end of this and I think that’s why this one looks so patchy but I have worn is since and it’s a smidge patchy but not nearly this bad. This is a perfect winter colour when you want to go all out. It’s a gorgeous red and it makes your teeth look really white. 
Although these Ultra Matte lipsticks are quite drying the colour selection and the price just can’t be beat. Although they are a little but more than $6 in Canada and you have to pay for shipping, they are always have $5 off coupons on their website so I think these are totally worth it.
