August 2016 Beauty Favorites

Unfortunately summer is coming to an end. It seems like it flew by. But, that makes me so excited for fall. The candles, the sweaters, the scarves, the teas, the dark lipstick, the not wanting to die of heat everytime I step outside. Okay, I’m rambling now. Onto my August 2016 Beauty Favourites!

Let’s talk about my go to concealer for this month. This is the LA Girl Pro Conceal and I have mine in the shade classic ivory.  I only use this concealer for under my eyes. It has peach undertones which makes it perfect for cancelling out purple/blue. It’s a full coverage concealer but doesn’t feel drying at all under my eyes. It is quite long wearing and very blendable. I am able to blend this with my fingers if I’m being super lazy. I also like that it is a brush tip applicator which makes it super easy to go on.

Since I just did a review on this foundation I won’t go into too much detail. All I’ll say is I love this foundation and can’t wait to use it more. It is very similar to my Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation (DUPE ALERT).

Peachy Lips are a must in the summer and with the new metallic lips trend this liquid lipstick is amazing. This is the Kylie Cosmetics Metal Matte Lipstick in Heir. It is a peach semi sheer liquid lipstick with gold metallics in it. My Favourite way to wear this is a lipstick topper. It turns any peachy/coral lipstick into metallic goodness. It’s just beautiful for the summer.

Next is the Colourpop eyeshadow in Alchemy. Unfortunately this was limited edition but Fringe eyeshadow by Colourpop looks similar! Alchemy is a gorgeous sheer champagne metallic eyeshadow. It does have glitter in it but it’s not obnoxious glitter. It’s very subtle and is only really noticeable when your eye catches the right light. I’ll use this all over the lid and put a light brown in my crease or use it as an inner corner highlight and it looks amazing both ways. Best of all this eyeshadow is only $5! Go and get Colourpop shadows now!!

DSC01389Lastly is the newest release from Jaclyn Hill and Becca’s collaboration. This is the Champagne splits shimmering skin perfector and mineral blush duo in Prosecco Pop/Amaretto. The Blush in Amaretto is a warm peachy brown. I personally can’t wear this as a regular blush but I do put this on the outer half of my cheekbones and a bit in the hollows of the cheeks and it makes me look more chiseled and definitely sun kissed. Prosecco Pop is a gorgeous warm golden highlight. It has the same pigmentation of all the other Becca Skin Perfectors, which is amazing. This is such a nice duo!

What beauty products have you been loving for the month of August or even the whole summer? Let me know in the comments!
