September Beauty Favourites!

Another month has come and gone and we are in full blown fall now. The leaves are turning and the air is crisper. As I’m sitting here drinking my chai tea latte, I’m very much into the spirit of fall time. So, with that being said, September pretty much over that means another beauty favourites. Today i’ll be talking all about the products I have been loving for the month of September!

I haven’t had the e.l.f. Lip Exfoliator for very long and I’ve only used it a couple times but I know this will be a go to for me. This lip exfoliator is in a lipstick type tube and you just rub the tube along your lips to exfoliate them. It’s so easy and convenient to have the exfoliator in a lipstick tube. And this exfoliator gets it done. I wear a lot of liquid lipsticks this time of year (any time of year) and some of them can be quite drying. This exfoliator makes my lips nice and smooth before I go in with a matte liquid lip.

The Laura Geller Gilded Baked Gelato Swirled Illuminator in Gilden Honey is one of my favourite highlights. It looks very gold in the pan but isn’t as dark as what you might think. It’s more of a champagne colour than a gold. It gives the cheeks a very wet looking highlight and I’ve been so into it the past month. It can be pretty intense so it’s best to build this up to your desired glow.

I always struggle to find a nice fall blush but this has been my go to for the past month. This is Mac Cosmetics blush in Prism. This powder blush is a  neutral, mid toned, mauvey beige. I use it as a blush but I can also use this to contour a bit. I wouldn’t use this alone to contour but I’ll usually bring this down into the hollows of my cheeks on top of my contour powder and it chisels out my face even more. It goes with any look because it’s so neutral and it lasts all day on my skin.

I have been using the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealers  for years but just this month I picked up the brightener shade. It’s a nice pink toned highlighting concealer that cancels out dark circles and brightens up the under eye area. The applicator is a little sponge and it applies so easily. Just a couple swipes under the eyes, an easy blend out, and your done! I do usually put another concealer that is more skin toned on top of this but I don’t need to. This concealer competes with my higher end under eye brighteners!

Lastly is the infamous Beauty Blender. There is good reason this little beauty sponge has almost a 5 star review on the Sephora website with more than 5600 reviews. All you do with this sponge is run it under water, squeeze it out about 15 times, and then use it to apply your foundation, concealer, and even powder. It may sound like a lot of work but it takes about 2 minutes and the outcome of your foundation will be amazing. This month I have been loving using it for my entire foundation routine. I’ll bounce my foundation on with this, then my concealer, and then i’ll dip this in my powder and bake my under eyes with this. It works amazing. If you want a full review on this little wonder, let me know!
