Essence Cosmetics Eyeshadow Palette
Can you ever have too many neutral eyeshadow palettes? I hope not because I just got one more. I’ve been eyeing the Essence Cosmetics 8 pan eyeshadow palettes for a while and decided to go for it. They have 5 different options for the 8 pan palettes but I decided to go for the nudes because it had the most mix of satins and shimmers. If you want to hear what I think about this palette then keep on reading!
This is the All About Eyeshadow Palette in Nudes. I bought this palette at Shoppers Drug Mart for $5.49.This palette comes with 8 eyeshadows. 5 of the eyeshadows area satin finish and 3 are shimmer finish. The satins can pull matte or shimmer so they look great in the crease.
The shadows are not chalky at all and are very creamy. I didn’t find they had much fall out or much powder kick up when I would dip my brush into the shadow.
This eyeshadows in this palette are hit or miss for me. Some of the colours are gorgeous and blend out beautifully and other don’t really pack a punch. Most of the satin shadows look the same when blended out but are perfect for someone who likes that really blended out look. The darker shimmer shadows are gorgeous and are quite pigmented. They look gorgeous on the lid or in the outer corner of the eyes with one of the darker crease shadows. All of the shadows compliment each other so well and it is a palette that you don’t really have to think about it. You can dip your brush into any of these shadows and it will look great.
You definitely need a primer with these shadows in order for the pigment to show up better and for them to last all day.
The packaging of these eyeshadows is a bit of a miss for me but for the price, I’d much rather a good eyeshadow than amazing packaging.
Overall I would say this is a good eyeshadow palette. Is it the best I’ve ever tried? No but, I would recommend this palette for someone who may be new to makeup, is just getting into makeup, or someone who doesn’t have a big budget for eyeshadows. Try it for yourself and let me know what you think!
What are some other affordable eyeshadow palettes I should try?

This is a really nice, comprehensive review! I totally agree that while there are many affordable shadow palettes that are alright, they usually aren’t knock-it-out-of-the-park amazing. Or some of the colors are, and others aren’t. Anyways, great post, and lovely blog!
