August/September Empties

Wanna see what I’m going to throw out? I use a lot of different products and it’s a big deal to me when I fully use something up. I love being able to give my thoughts on a product after it’s completely done.  I feel like you can get such a sense of the product that way because it’s empty. I don’t typically go through makeup nearly as fast as I go through haircare or skincare so it’s mostly going to be hair and skin stuff! If you want to see what I’ve used up over the past couple of months then keep on reading!

Lets start with makeup. I finished up the Essence I Love Extreme Volume Mascara Waterproof. This was a good mascara but not my favourite. It gave my lashes good definition but the brush was just a bit too big for my eyes and most time I ended up making a mess. Next is the Jordana Cat Eyeliner. I loved this liquid liner! It was a great brush tip applicator and it went on so smooth and black. It was very easy to apply. If I could get this in Canada I would for sure be buying this again. The Benefit Stay Flawless Primer I didn’t like at all. I didn’t feel like it did anything extra for my makeup and made me feel a bit greasy.

I love Soap and Glory Hand Food hand cream. I love the scent of this whole line. This cream leaves my dry hands feel so soft. I would so get this again. I used up and am currently using the Sephora Solid Brush Cleanser. It’s really similar to the Beauty Blended Solid Cleasner but is less expensive. Solid Brush Cleansers are great because they’re so convenient and easy to use.

Onto the bulk of the empties: skincare. First off is the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream with SPF 15. I thought this was great for the summer. It sunk into my skin quickly so I could put on my makeup pretty quickly after I applied it. I would definitely get this again. For night creams I used up the Ole Henrikson Truth Creme Vitamin C Advanced Hydration and the Origins Night A Mins.  The Ole Henrikson night cream I can’t even remember if I really liked it. So that tells me it must not have been fantastic. The Origins Night A Mins is my favourite night cream ever. It’s such a rich, hydrating cream and smells like delicious oranges. I love this and I’ll always repurchase this. I only used up one eye cream and it was the Ole Henrikson Fresh Start Eye Cream. I like my eye creams to be quite thick and hydrating and this Fresh Start Eye Cream was. It was a really nice eye cream but I love trying new ones so I’m onto something else. I have tried the Josie Maran Argan Oil several times and I love it every time I tried it. I like using it on its own or mixing it in with my moisturizer to make it that much more moisturizing. I would absolutely get a full size of this. Lastly is my all time favourite day cream. I first heard about this via YouTube. I heard someone say that the Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentrate  is a favourite moisturizer and makeup base for professional makeup artists. I quickly fell in love with it. My makeup sits so nicely on it and it keeps me hydrated all day. I’m currently using up another one of these!
