October Favourites 2016

I know everyone says this but I can’t believe it’s almost November. It’s been a pretty busy month and I’ve been getting more and more into my blog. I’m getting more into the swing of taking pictures, writing posts, and putting myself out there. I made a few purchases this month and I am loving everything I got! I love when that happens. Anyways, today I’ll be talking all about the products I’ve been loving for the month of October.

First off, the real star in my eyes. The Master Palette by Mario in collaboration with Anastasia Beverly Hills is absolutely amazing! The colour payoff is amazing, the blendability (not a real word, I know) is amazing, I could go on and on. I have been using it every time I am doing my eyeshadow in the last 2 weeks. I haven’t had this for the whole month but it’s a real standout product for me. If you want to see my full review on this eyeshadow palette click here

Also something new to me this month is Mac Cosmetics Shaping Powder in the colour Emphasize. This is an off white with a fine pearl finish that I have been using to set my under eye concealer. It is a very finely milled powder that brightens up the under eyes like nothing I have ever tried. It goes on very soft, pearly, and illuminating. Don’t let the pearl finish scare you with this powder. It doesn’t have glitter in it at all but gives the under eyes a nice sheen. This product is 21$ and can be purchased at Mac Cosmetics.

My go to lipstick this month has been Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in Cathedral. It’s described on the website as a matte coco rose. The colour is perfect for fall. It’s a brown toned lipstick with a bit of rosey pink in it. It goes well with any eye look I want to pair it with. When I do my makeup I have the hardest time choosing a lipstick to go with it and this one has been a no brainer for me. It goes on very pigmented with one swipe and lasts a decent amount of  time on the lip. I also love the packaging of these lipsticks. This lipstick is 26$ and is available here.

Speaking of a no brainer blush is the Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Blush in Sensuous Rose. This is a great neutral blush for fall. It is a bit more on the warm side but can be paired with a cool toned look no problem. The formula on this blush is also really nice. It’s smooth and blends really nicely. It’s pigmented but not too pigmented that it goes on and you look like a clown. I’m going to have to have another look at Estee Lauder blushes. This blush is 34$ and can be purchased on the Estee Lauder website.

Lastly has been my favourite nail polish of the month. It is Essie’s nail polish in Eternal Optimist. This is a great neutral rose colour. Can you tell I’ve been really into neutrals this month? In fall I either go really neutral on my nails or a vampy colour. This is a great neutral colour and goes on really smoothly. This polish is around 10$ and can be purchased at Shoppers Drug Mart.
