Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentre Review

This face moisturizer has rave reviews all around the world. Makeup artists are said to use this on models all the time to prep their skin for all the makeup they wear. It is a cult favourite of many makeup artists globally but, especially in Europe. I don’t hear too many people talking about this in Canada so, I’m excited to be talking all about this face moisturizer today.

The claims: This creamy lotion is three products in one: primer, moisturizer, and make-up remover. Its formula remains extremely simple and effective with nourishing ingredients that restores the skin’s natural glow and gives a boost to tired dehydrated skin (Taken from Embryolisse USA). This is a soothing luxurious moisturizer that delivers deep hydration and preps the skin for flawless makeup application. It is said to be great for all skin types and is formulation without parabens, sulphates, or Phthalates. It is also a cruelty free product.

The Packaging: It comes in a squeeze tube but the actual tube is kind of like thin tin. It makes it a bit hard when you get near the end of the product to keep getting product out. Think of a tube of toothpaste but more difficult.

The Smell: It doesn’t smell like anything in particular. It sort of has that ‘no smell’ smell. It’s not trying to smell like anything and I don’t mind that. It would be nice if it smelled amazing but I know that can’t be irritating to some people.

The Price: This cream is $35 for 75ml. It can be purchased from Sephora

The Product: This is my go to day moisturizer for sure. It keeps me hydrated all day and my makeup always going on so smoothly when I use this. I have normal to combination skin and it works perfectly for me. I don’t find myself getting greasy but I wouldn’t recommend this for people with oily skin. I think the cream would be way too heavy on oily skin. In an ideal world I let this sit on my skin and sink in for about 30 minutes before applying my makeup but early in the morning I don’t wait anymore than 5 minutes and there is no problems with that.

I have never used this as a makeup remover so I’m not sure how it works for that.

Overall, I really like this cream as a day moisturizer. This is my 3rd tube of this moisturizer and I will continue to purchase it.

What is your go to day cream?
