January 2017 Beauty Favourites

The first favourites post of 2017 and I’m so excited about it! I don’t know about anyone else but my January just dragged on and on. So, I’m pretty excited to be moving into February and just that much closer to spring. I have already started burning my spring candles in hopes of putting myself in a springy mood. It might be a bit early but oh well!

I love these types of posts because you get to see what products I have been using consistently and have been loving. Let’s get on to talking about all the beauty products I have been loving for the month of January!

  1. Mac Cosmetics Nutcracker Sweet Peach Face Compact: I have been using this highlight non stop this month. It’s absolutely amazing for my skin tone right now. I wish this wasn’t part of Mac’s christmas collection because it was limited edition.  It goes on very shimmery but not chunky at all. It’s an Extra Dimension Skinfinish, which is a favourite formula of many beauty bloggers, and is a very light beige highlight. I’ve gotten so many compliments on my skin glow when wearing this highlight!
  2. Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask: This lip mask has been an absolutely saviour for my dry lips. I usually have dry lips but especially this time of year. This lip mask provides so much nourishment for my lips and makes them so soft. I mainly use this at night before bed but I’ll also use this before I put on liquid lipstick so that it’s not so drying on my lips. It has a really nice fruity smell too! This lip mask has replaced my Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream and that’s saying a lot. 
  3. Too Faced Hangover Rx Primer: Speaking of saviour for dry skin, this primer has been amazing to me this month. It makes my foundation go on so smooth and hydrates my face all day! I have a full review on this primer here! 
  4. Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick in Kristen: Remember how I said I put on the lip mask before liquid lipsticks? This is what I put on! This liquid lipstick is such a gorgeous dark strawberry pink colour. I think it will be great for any season but I love the look of this colour on my fair skin right now! It just packs a punch. The formula of these liquid lipsticks is a bit drying but I can get past that for this beautiful colour. 
  5. Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara: The discovery of this mascara is thanks to my good friend. This mascara is amazing. It makes my lashes look super long and thick. It’s a plastic wand which I really love because it defines the lashes so well. This is one of the best mascaras I have ever tried. I use this in the waterproof version because it curls my lashes so much better. It keeps my lashes curled all day!
