Pixi Beauty H2O Skintint | Review

Unfortunately, when Target left Canada a few brands left us including Pixi Beauty. So sad. That is, until now! The other day I was doing my usually browse around the drugstore and came across a Pixi Beauty display in Shoppers Drug Mart. I was so excited! So of course I couldn’t wait to pick up a few things and try them out.

One of the items I picked up was this H2O Skin Tint. I was looking at the display, saw this, and thought it would be perfect for me to wear to work. I was talking about this with the sales associate, she showed me a swatch, and I fell in love. I’ll definitely be picking up more from Pixi Beauty when I get myself back to Shoppers Drug Mart.

The claims of this product: It is a water based tinted gel that gives the skin a more evened out complexion for a flawless no-makeup look. It dries to a semi-matte finish and is hydrating and long lasting. It contains green tea, rose water, chamomile, and lavender. It is suited for sensitive skin. It is not tested on animals.

The price of this product is $34 (CAD) and is available in store at Shoppers Drug Mart. Apparently Pixi Beauty will be available on  Shoppers online beauty store Beauty Boutique.

If you are looking for a skin tint that is full or even medium coverage then this isn’t for you. This product is definitely sheer to light coverage but can be built up a little bit without it looking the least bit cakey. It does what it says and lightly evens out of the skin tone. It leaves you with a gorgeous finish. It gives you a dewy, healthy looking glow that lasts all day. The hospital that I work in has super dry air so I’m always wanting a face product that will hydrate my face all day (12 hour shift) and also give me a little bit of coverage. This product is perfect for that. It is my new go to face product for my work no makeup makeup days.

The only thing that is not so great about this product is the lack of shade range. They only have 3 colours. The lightest colour Cream works well for my skin tone but I could see how a lot of other skin tones are left out. But, since it is sheer-light coverage it may work for more skin tones that you think. So, if you’re in doubt, try it out (hey, that rhymed).

Have you tried much from Pixi Beauty?
