My Top 5 Nude Lipsticks

A nude lipstick is a staple in my makeup collection. On a day to day basis a nude lipstick is what I gravitate towards. Why? Because they go with every single look I want to do. Natural look? Nude lip. Dramatic smokey eye? Nude lip. If you’re one of those people that can rock a red or purple lip on a daily basis then keep doing you but if you want some great nude lipstick recommendations, here is my top 5.

Drugstore: 

Loreal Lipstick in Fairest Nude: This lipstick has been around forever and is a very popular drugstore nude lipstick. It can pull warm or nude depending on your skin tone and is flattering on so many people. This pulls more pinky/mauvey on me in the winter when I am paler and in the summer when I have more colour to my skin it pulls truly nude and gives my lips that plump shine reminiscent of the ever so popular J.LO nude lip. Who doesn’t want that?

Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick in Nude Lust: Maybelline has one of the best lipsticks at the drugstore in my opinion. The applied color is a natural-looking nude. It isn’t a fair skin color nude; it covers up my naturally pinkish-red lips by making them into a natural shade of nude, slightly darker than my fair skin. The formula is also really creamy and hydrating. I’m talking myself into buying more Maybelline lipsticks right now. This lipstick is part of Maybelline’s “The Buff” collection and they have so many nudes to choose from for so many skin tones. 

High End: 

Mac Cosmetics Lipstick in Creme Cup: This is a holy grail lipstick for so many people and for good reason. It is an amazing lipstick because of the formula and the colour. The formula of this lipstick is Mac’s Cremesheen formula which is creamy and hydrating. It has a semi glossy finish and buildable coverage. The colour is a great neutral to cool toned nude pink. This is flattering on so many skin tones. If you haven’t tried this lipstick, stop reading, go to your local Mac Cosmetics counter and swatch this. 

Mac Cosmetics Lipstick in Blankety: This is another lipstick very known in the beauty community. This is the most nude nude lipstick I have. The formula of this lipstick is Mac’s Amplified which is very pigmented and a semi lustrous finish. This lipstick glides on the lips like a dream. This is a soft pink beige but more beige than pink. This is a great lipstick on fair skin. 

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Lipstick in 001 Nude Beige: Not only is the packaging of these lipsticks gorgeous but the formula of these are so so good. These lipsticks are unbelievably creamy. They are almost too creamy but paired with a lip liner are perfect. This is such a nice light pinky nude. The colour and the formula of this lipstick make your lips look so nice a luscious.
