Josie Maran Argan Oil Vibrancy Foundation | Review

As you may have seen in one of my most recent posts, I made a trip to Sephora and got a few things. One of them was a foundation for my dry skin. I had been eyeing the Josie Maran Vibrancy Argan Oil Foundation Fluid for a while and I decided to pick it up after hearing really positive reviews about it from my dry skin people.

The first thing that drew me to this foundation was that it contains Argan Oil which is very hydrating. The second was that it’s medium to full coverage. The third, I’m not going to lie, is the packaging. It’s such a pretty container. Because of all that I was pretty excited to try out this foundation.

The claims of this foundation: This lightweight medium to full coverage foundation is powered by 100 percent pure argan oil and energizes your skin with the nutrients it needs. This foundation contains ingredients that help soothe, smooth, and restore skin’s luminosity. This foundation is dermatologist tested. It comes in 14 shades for rosy undertones, golden undertones, and neutral undertones.

This foundation is $55 (CAD). It can be purchased on the Sephora website here or the Josie Maran website here.

This foundation went on me as more of a medium coverage. I was able to build it up in the areas I needed more coverage but I wouldn’t say this foundation is full coverage. I don’t love a full coverage foundation anyways because I like to see my skin so this amount of coverage was perfect for me. Its a very liquidy formula and feels really like on the skin. You can barely feel the foundation on your skin.

Without any foundation on my skin
With just foundation on my skin

The finish on this foundation is gorgeous. As you can see from my photo with just foundation on my skin, its definitely a dewy finish. It adds a really nice luminosity to the skin without it looking greasy. It evened out my skin tone really nicely as well.

I’m not sure if it’s just my imagination but I think it has improved my skins dryness overall. It’s almost like a foundation with skincare built in.

The first couple of times I wore this foundation it broke up around my nose but I just had to use a different concealer with it. It didn’t work out with my Tarte Shape Tape Concealer but my Maybelline Fit Me concealer worked great with it. I would not recommend this for anyone with oily skin as it does contain Argan Oil and would probably make you look really oily.

Full face completely done
