I have seen so much about this palette around YouTube and the beauty blogger community for a couple years now. I am a huge fan of Carli Bybel but would always think to myself ‘I’ll never be able to get that! It’s only available in the States’. That was until my wonderful friend went to the States and got this for me for my birthday. This review will be all about the Carli Bybel 14 Color Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette by BH Cosmetics.
Well, let me tell you, it was love at first swatch with this palette (this post includes swatches). This is in no way going to be a negative review because every time I use this palette I fall more and more in love with it. Big shout out to my friend for getting me this amazing palette!
This palette contains 10 eyeshadows and 4 face highlighters. It has a mix of plummy browns, purples, and bronzes. It contains 4 matte eyeshadows and the rest are shimmer. I really like that you can create an entire eye look with like palette. If you really needed to, you wouldn’t need any other eyeshadows to create a complete eyeshadow look.
This palette is $14.50 USD and can be purchased at Ulta in store or Ulta.com.
Not only are all of these shadows very pigmented but they are incredibly easy to blend. This would be a great palette for beginners. The mattes are very creamy and the shimmer eye shadows give off a really nice metallic look. I absolutely love the metallic look of eyeshadows so when I’m using the shimmer shadows I always wet my brush with Mac Fix+ to give the shadow more of a punch.
I’ve only used the two lightest highlighters because they suit my skin tone best. These highlighters give you cheeks such a nice wet look. They are not subtle highlights by any means but I’m super into them. I really like how this palette includes highlighters that would suit every skin tone.
The only drawback to this eyeshadow palette is that there is quite a bit of fall out from these shadows and they do kick up powder. But, thats the case with most pigmented shadows so I’m okay with it.
Have you guys ever tried this palette?
