Cake Smelling Hair? Cake Beauty Review

I never knew my hair smelling like a cupcake shop could sound so appealing. Enter Cake Beauty.  A girl I work with had some Cake Beauty body products and they smelled like actual cake. No joke. They smelled like the best bakery you’ve ever been in. I knew then I had to try some of their products. I also recently noticed they started selling some Cake Beauty Hair products at Shoppers Drug Mart (YES).

I reached out to a PR representative of this company to see if I could receive some products from them. I’m always so pumped when companies agree to send me products to test out.

Today I’ll be talking about Cake Beauty’s Dry Shampoo and Dry Conditioner.

Cake Beauty is a Canadian-based brand that is vegan and cruelty free. They carry body care, hair care, and fragrances. Everything I have ever tried and smell from Cake Beauty has been out of this world delish.

If you know me at all, you know I’m obsessed and can’t live without dry shampoo. It’s an such a staple product in my routine. I don’t like to wash my hair everyday for the health of my hair and for pure laziness.

The Cake Beauty Dry Shampoo applies like any other dry shampoo. It leaves very minimal white build up in your hair. It makes you hair feel very clean and gives really nice volume. You can’t really feel anything when you run your fingers through your hair after using this drying shampoo. I really like this because some dry shampoos leave a gross feeling in your hair.

I, unfortunately, compare every dry shampoo I try to my beloved Batiste. Is this better than batiste? It’s doesn’t leave my hair feeling as clean and voluminous but it does leave less build up.

A dry conditioner is something I had never tried or even heard of. To me, it’s basically to be used when your using dry shampoo and it makes the ends of your hair feel really dry. What I wasn’t expecting from this dry conditioner is to make my hair so shiny. I feel like you could see all the natural highlights in my hair when I used this. It also made my hair really smooth.

Both of these products retail for $19 (CAD) and can be purchased online at Cake Beauty or at Shoppers Drug Mart.

All of the products in this review I received for consideration*
