Annabelle Cosmetics First Impression

I’m not gonna lie,  before this, I never tried Annabelle Cosmetics. I don’t know if it’s that its purely a Canadian brand and so it’s not really hyped in the beauty community but I never tested anything out from them. I decided to branch out the other day when Shoppers Drug Mart was having a points event and being the shopaholic I am, I had to spend a certain amount. I was wandering the makeup aisle (as I do) and noticed the Annabelle Cosmetics display. A few products caught my eye so I thought I would give them a go.

Today, I’ll be talking about the Canadian brand Annabelle Cosmetics.

The first products that caught my eye were the eyeliners. They have such a huge range of eyeliners. The display said something like “Best eyeliner in Canada” or something to that effect so I knew I had to pick some up. Since I already have so many black eyeliners I wanted to go for something still neutral but not black. So, I went for the Retractable Eyeliner in Peacock and Bronze Age. These liners are Ophthalmologist tested, waterproof, and have a 12-hour wear. I paid $10.99 (CAD) for these.

These liners are very pigmented and smooth when they are applied. They apply really nicely in the waterline and are great smudged under the lower lash line. I love these. I’ll definitely be looking into more of their eyeliners.

I thought I had hear RachhLoves (the YouTuber) talk about Annabelle’s Single Chrome Shadows before and said they were good so I wanted to pick one up. I picked up the shade Rose Gold and this shade is stunning. The formula is creamy but dries down so it won’t budge on the eyes. It applies like a dream and has such a nice metallic finish. It really makes your eyes pop. I paid $10.49 (CAD) for this shadow.

To go with my new eyeshadow I wanted to try out the Annabelle Eye Primer. This eye primer is supposed to intensify colour, maximize hold, and smooth and unify your eyes. This comes in the one shade that is pictured. It is a beige colour and wouldn’t blend in to your skin if you are any darker than a medium skin tone. It’s not my absolute favourite eyeshadow primer just because it didn’t make my eyeshadow last as long as I would like but it’s a great drugstore option! This eye primer was $10.49 (CAD).

To round up my little Annabelle Cosmetics haul I thought I should try out some lip products. The ones I got were Twist Up Retractable Lipstick in Absolute and the Lipsies Diamond Lip Balm in Marshmellow.

The lipstick crayon is a really nice, creamy lipstick. This colour is also a really gorgeous neutral pink. I really like the applicator because it’s really easy to line your lips with this and then fill them in. It’s not a long wearing lipstick and it’s not advertised as that but wore around the same time as any other creamy lipstick. The lipstick was $10.99 (CAD).

The Lipsies Lip Balm I’m not crazy about. It smells amazing but, not like marshmallows at all. More fruity sweet than anything. This product would be a great choice for just throwing on a tinted lip balm but it has sparkles in it. It should have clued in when it has diamonds in the name but I just thought it would be shiny. It is very hydrating on the lips so I’ll give it that but I don’t see myself reaching for this. This lip balm was $5.49 (CAD).
