Decluttering My Liquid Lipsticks

I don’t know why but I have been in the mood lately to just purge everything I don’t use anymore. Maybe it’s the change in seasons or maybe I’m just sick of looking at piles of stuff all around my apartment but I have been a decluttering machine the last few weeks. Today, I thought I would tackle what I have the absolute most of in my makeup collection. Without a doubt that would be: LIQUID LIPSTICKS.

I am completely obsessed with liquid lipsticks and love that these have become a trend. I hardly ever buy regular lipsticks anymore because liquid lipsticks are everything I could want in a lip product. They are long lasting, high pigment, and really flattering. As you can see, I have more than any one person should have.

I’m not sure how many I’ll be able to get rid of but I’m going to try my best.

What I look for in a liquid lipstick is that it is: long lasting, non drying, great pigment, flattering colour, and unique.

So here are a few photos of my liquid lipstick collection:

And here are the ones I’ve decided to get rid of and some small explanations why:

First off the Tattoo Junkie Lip Paints. I just don’t find these colours very flattering on me and it’s not my favourite formula. Next are these two Lime Crime liquid lips. I just don’t love Lime Crime as a brand and can’t support them. If you want more details just search ‘Lime Crime Drama’ on google.

I have 4 Colourpop Cosmetics Matte Liquid lips I’m getting rid of in More Better, Trap, Tulle, and LAX. I’ve just had these for a long time and they smell kinda funny now so I woulnd’t want to put these near my mouth. I love the colours of these though and will miss them.

The Kylie Cosmetics liquid lip in Moon and Vivid Matte Lip from Maybelline in Pink Charge really don’t look good on me.

I just don’t like the formula of the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams. I don’t find them pigmented at all and I really need that from a liquid lipstick. Pretty much same with the Bite Beauty Cashmere Lip Cream in Port. Just not pigmented enough for me.

I’m also not a fan of the Too Faced Melted Liquified Liquid Lipsticks. I don’t find the lasting power on them good at all. And lastly, my poor Stila Patina is just empty. Sad times. Stila Liquid Lipsticks are in my top 3 for formulas. I love them so much.

Here are some of the liquid lipsticks I’m getting rid of:

L to R: Stila Como, Stila Patina, Bite Beauty Port, Nyx Cosmetics Transylvania, Maybelline Pink Charge, Colourpop Cosmetics LAX, Colourpop Cosmetics More Better, Lime Crime Cashmere

Here are some of my favourite Liquid Lipsticks of the moment from my collection that I’m keeping:

L to R: Maybelline Lover, Maybelline Voyager, Kylie Cosmetics Kristen, Kylie Cosmetics Ginger, Stila Caramello, Sephora 13, YSL 1

I know I got rid of quite a few but I’m always looking for the next best one. I’m sure my stash will be replenished before long.

What are some of your favourite liquid lipsticks?
