Dissapointing Beauty Products

Womp womp womp. Another round of disappointing beauty products coming at you. I have a love/hate relationship with these types of posts. On one hand, I find it helpful when someone advises me against a product because they had a bad experience. On the other hand, I don’t find it nice talking badly about products.

So, let me preface this by saying, I love all the brands I’m about to talk about. In fact, some of them are a few of my favourite brands of beauty products. And, just because I don’t like a product doesn’t mean you wouldn’t. Just take everything I say with a grain of salt.

If you know me at all you know that Batiste is my favourite dry shampoo brand of all time. I’ve been using them for years and I’ve tried almost every different scent. But, I do not like this heavenly volume one. It left my hair so dry that I could barely run my fingers through it. My head eventually got itchy because of this dry shampoo. So, unfortunately I’ll probably be tossing this.

Next up is something that left my skin in a condition which it has never been in. After using The Ordinary’s Lactic Acid twice, my face would not stop peeling for days. And I know it says on it that it’s a peeling formula but I guess I just didn’t think it would be so intense. Whenever I put makeup on it looked awful. Not only that, putting anything on my face stung the hell out of it. Not matter the exfoliating benefits from this product, it’s not worth it to me to lose layers of my skin and be in pain.

I am so sad that I have two of The Ordinary’s products in the post. This is by no means bashing his company. I have so many products from this brand that I love! I’m actually thinking about doing a post about all the products from them I love. I digress. This coverage foundation just didn’t work on my skin. My skin was way to dry for this foundation and it just looked cakey on my skin. I’ll be passing this off to one of my oily skinned girls.

Lastly of the products I don’t like is a lip balm. This is the Consonant Lip Conditoner. I wanted to try this out because it’s all natural and I don’t love the thought of putting a bunch of chemicals near my mouth (even though I still do it). But, I wanted to give this a go and it just didn’t provide near enough hydration for me. It felt like almost nothing going on my lips and was completely unscented. I’ll still use this up but I’m just not thrilled with it. I’d love to try out more from this brand. Leave your recommendations down below!

Have you tried out any products lately that you weren’t thrilled about? Let me know!
