Favourite Skincare 2017

I feel like in 2017 I really got into a good groove with my skincare. It started behaving the way I want it too, it started to look the way I want it to, and it started to feel so much better. Skincare is one of my favourite things to try and the products I have tried this year have done amazing things for me.

Today, I’ll be talking all about my favourite skincare products (and one tool) from 2017!

My favourite makeup remover of the year has to be the Simple Cleansing Micellar Water. Its my favourite Micellar water of all time. It’s so inexpensive but works at taking my makeup off like a dream. It’s so gentle on my skin and doesn’t leave any residue.

The Pixi Glow Tonic is a cult favourite and for a great reason. I really wanted to tackle my hyperpigmentation this year and this really helped. It’s 5% Glycolic Acid and does a great job toning my skin. I feel like it has really helped with the discolouration on my skin and has helped to keep it clear.

The Ordinary has done amazing things with skincare this year. They have taken the beauty community by storm. Not only are their products super affordable but they are so so good. My standout products from them have to be the Hyaluronic Acid and the Caffeine Solution. The Hyaluronic acid is such a nice hydrating serum. I use this every night under my moisturizer and it helps to plump up my skin. The Caffeine Solution is amazing for depuffing underneath the eyes when you haven’t got enough sleep.

Another Skincare product that has done wonders for my hyper pigmentation is the Foreo Luna Mini. It’s a cleansing tool that vibrates and helps your cleanser penetrate deeply and exfoliates at the same time. I have a full review on it here!

Now onto my favourite moisturizers of the year. The Farsali Rose Gold Elixir is such a nice, luxurious oil. It contains real 24K gold which is supposed to be great for anti-aging. It’s also super moisturizing. My favourite stand alone night cream for a long time now is the Origins Night-A-Mins. It makes my skin feel so moisturized and hydrated all night and the next day. I feel like it really plumps up my skin and makes it looks healthy.

Lip balm is an absolute must for me. My lips on a good day are dry. On a bad, winter day, they are painful and raw. The best thing for them all year long is the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. It’s a thick, hydrating lip balm. It keeps my lips moist for such a long time. It’s the best lip balm I’ve ever tried.
