Travel Makeup Bag Tour

I’m on of those really strange people who loves to pack. It makes me even more excited to travel. If I could pack a week in advance, I would. But, my boyfriend probably wouldn’t like my suitcase on the floor of our bedroom for a week. So, when I got a new travel makeup bag for Christmas (shoutout to my friend Beth), I was so excited to pack my makeup for my next trip.

I have gotten pretty decent at packing and I thought I would show you what are my go-to’s, how I pack, and my new fantastic makeup bag.

I always pack products that I know are going to work for me. I think it would be silly to pack brand new products that I don’t know how they are going to perform. Also, if I know I’m going to get a little bit of sun, I’ll pack products that I think will match me when I have a little bit of colour in my skin.

I’m going to Miami this month and for a base skin product the It Cosmetics CC Cream is the best choice. It has an SPF 50 so it will be great to wear during the sunny Miami days. It has great coverage, a natural finish, and is a touch too dark for me.

Instead of bringing a bronzer and a contour product I’m bringing the Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer. It has a neutral undertone so it contours a bit and adds warmth to my skin tone. It works on me when I’m pale and when I’m tanned.

I’m bringing two blush minis from Tarte Cosmetics. One is a coral and one is a nude. I really only wear these two colour tones and these ones are great. The coral is Magic and the nude is Exposed.

I find eyeshadow the trickiest to pick. For this trip I’m going to bring the Huda Beauty Warm Brown Obsessions palette. I can do so many looks with this. I can also use my bronzer for a nice crease colour and my highlight for a nice lid colour. I find travelling is all about multi use products! The Balm’s Mary-Lou Manizer is a great highlight for me at all skin tones. It’s a nice colour and is a great highlight.

I will always bring the same mascara with me travelling and that is my trusty Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof formula. It’ll be great in the hot, humid Florida Weather.

For lip products, I always bring something with SPF when I’m going somewhere sunny. My lips always burn when I don’t use SPF on them and it’s so uncomfortable. My favourite SPF 30 lip balm is the Sun Bum Lip Balm. I also like the Revlon Kiss Lip Balm because it has SPF 15 and a nice tint.

For lip colours I, again, bring ones that I know work for me. I also think about where I’m going and think about what makeup looks I want to do. So, I’ll bring my favourites. This trip I’m bringing the Stila Liquid Lipstick in Aria and Carmello. I’m also bringing Kylie Cosmetics Kristen.

The real star of this post is my new makeup bag. This is the Lululemon Women’s Everywhere Kit in Misty Pink. It has a nice wire frame so it stays open when you want it to. It has a removable clear pouch that you can keep your liquids in. You are able to wipe out the inside. As you can see, you can also put your makeup brushes securely in the bag. I would recommend this bag to anyone and everyone who travels or even just lives out of a makeup bag.
