Physician’s Formula The Healthy Foundation REVIEW

I feel like so many brands have brought out new foundations lately. Is that just me? At the drugstore and at Sephora, so many amazing brands are coming out with new and amazing foundations. Foundations might be one of my favourite thing to test out.

Also, anything with the word “healthy” in the title, I’m all about. I want my skin to look healthy, luminous, and natural but also perfected. If a foundation can do that, I’m all in. I was super excited about trying the brand new Physician’s Formula The Healthy Foundation, but had a hard time finding it. That’s always the way it is in Canada but I finally got my hands on it and I’m pumped.

So today I’ll be reviewing the new Physician’s Formula The Healthy Foundation.

This foundation was released early this year with a bunch of other Physician’s Formula Products. This foundation is long-wearing, buildable, and breathable that provides medium coverage. It has a healthy, satin finish. It says on the Physician’s Formula website that its compatible with all skin types. It has a brightening complex and hyaluronic acid which is an amazing hydrator. It also has Vitamins A, C, and E.

This foundation can be found at most drugstore now. I found mine at Shoppers Drug Mart. The price of this is around $18-20 depending on where you get it. I would never pay this much for a drugstore foundation. I think I got it on sale for $12.

This foundation doesn’t come with a pump but instead, a large doe foot applicator. I feel like this type of applicator is becoming a big trend and I don’t know why. I much prefer a foundation with a pump. I just find taking a foundation and rubbing the applicator all over your face and then dunking it back in is kind of unsanitary.

Other than the applicator, I really like the packaging. It’s in a glass bottle and has really nice silver on it. It looks like an expensive foundation and I appreciate that.

This foundation definitely has your typical medium coverage. You are able to build it up to a more full coverage but I wouldn’t say you can build it up to your typical full coverage foundation.

It’s a very natural to dewy finish foundation. I love the way this foundation looks on my skin. It looks like my skin but hydrated and perfected. It completely brightens up my complexion and makes me look more awake. I love that this foundation is called The Healthy Foundation because it does exactly that. It makes my skin look so healthy and glowing. I also find that powder lays really nicely on top of the foundation. Overall my skin just looks so amazing while wearing this.

The only problem I have with this foundation is the wear-time. It doesn’t wear on my skin and look that great after the 6 hour mark. It starts to break apart around my nose and settles into my fine lines. I’m on the hunt for a primer that will fill in my fine lines.

I would recommend this foundation to someone who has normal to dry skin and doesn’t have a ton of blemishes but is just looking to perfect their skin. It really does make the skin look healthy AF.

Have you tried out this foundation? What did you think?
