Disappointing Products

Do I love doing these posts? Yes and no. No, I don’t love hating on products which a company has worked hard to create but at the same time, I don’t love every single product I try. I try not to talk about bad products on my blog but sometimes I need to round up the ones that really disappointed me. This can either be because of the formula, the shade, it didn’t work for my skin, or other reasons. 

So, today I’ll be talking about a few products that disappointed me. 

First up might be a bit of a shock. I’m like most people in the fact that I love Becca Highlighters. But, the shade Opal does not work on my skin tone. It looks like a brownish brown streak across my face. So, just for that, I’m disappointed in it.  

Let me talk about this Pixi eyeshadow palette. This is the Mesmerizing Eyeshadow Palette in Opal Glow. The thing I didn’t like about this eyeshadow palette is that all the colours didn’t have enough pigmentation and looks pretty much the same. It would be great for someone who loves natural eyeshadow but that isn’t me.

I talked about the Ulta Brand Tinted Eyeshadow Primer in my Ulta Brand review but, I do not like this product at all. It’s in the colour Pearl. It adds a very noticeable shimmer to the eyes and I don’t even want shimmer all over my eyes. I’m not of a matte in the crease, shimmer on the lid kind of girl. I’ll probably be throwing this out. 

What is it with me and eyeshadow primers? I also didn’t like the Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer. I have this in the light shade. It has a tint to it and I found it didn’t blend in very well. I used my fingers, as a normally would, but I couldn’t get it to blend at all. Because of that, my eyeshadow sat on top of it really weird.

Last is from the ever-famous Too Faced Peach collection. This is the Too Faced Blur Powder. This powder is supposed to blur pores and perfect lines. I didn’t find this powder didn’t anything to my skin. If anything, it left a subtle peach tint and nothing else. Especially for the price, I wanted this to be special. It smells really good, though.
