End of Summer Beauty Empties

I know, I know, I know. Another beauty empties. But I’m telling you, they never stop. I’m constantly using up products and so I have to make these posts kind of often. Maybe I should just make this a monthly post so that these posts aren’t so overwhelming for me and for you.

I know I say this every time but, if you don’t know what Empties posts are, I show you all the products I’ve used up in the last little but and give you a little review on each product.

I’ll warn you, most of these products I love.

The Good:

  • Love Beauty & Planet Coconut Water and Mimosa Flower Shampoo and Conditioner: I absolutely loved these. I’m not someone who’s super fussy with my shampoo and conditioner. I’ve never had any that do magic things with my hair but the scent of these was just amazing. They made my hair smell like delicious coconut flower for days.
  • Rosebud Perfume Co. Menthol and Eucalyptus Lip Balm: I kept this lip balm in my work bag and this is an amazing lip balm. When I’m at work I need a good quality lip balm but one I don’t have to dip my finger into so this is perfect.
  • Nivea Essential Lip Balm: Does anyone else get super impressed with themselves when they finish a tube of lip balm and can actually find it? It’s a real accomplishment. This is such a classic lip balm and it’s great. Very hydrating and just essential to me.

  • Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Brightener: This is a pigmented, pink-toned under-eye brightener. I have quite bad dark circles and this looks great under concealer. I have used up to many of these and will continue to buy it.
  • Ulta Beauty Watermelon Body Sorbet: The scent this body sorbet gives off is utterly amazing. It smells like delicious watermelon. It’s not too overpowering but just subtle enough to be delicious. It also moisturized my body really well.
  • It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cleanser, Cream, and Eye Cream: I loved all of these products and used them completely up. They did such a great job together of hydrating my skin. I have a full review on these here
  • Jo Malone Hand Cream: This is a very expensive hand cream and I wish I didn’t like it but I did. It smelled light a light, fresh flower and did a great job of moisturizing my hands. I wish I could get this again but just can’t justify the price (sad face)
  • Batiste Dry Shampoo: This is my all time favourite dry shampoo. My favourite scent is the Lotus scent but I’m really not that picky. It leaves my hair feeling clean but not heavy. It also adds a ton of volume to my hair.

The Meh:

  • Essence Volume Stylist Mascara: This mascara wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t my favourite. It did a fine job of defining and adding volume to my lashes but didn’t do a whole lot more. I mostly used this on my bottom lashes and it did a great job for that.
  • Pantene Pro-V Dry Shampoo: Again, just not my favourite dry shampoo. If I could choose between this one and Batiste, I would choose batiste every time. This dry shampoo just didn’t make my hair feel as clean and didn’t add as much volume as I love.

The Not So Good

  • Ulta Beauty Plush Mascara: I think to like this mascara you already have to have nice lashes. All this mascara did was define my lashes. No curl, no volume, no good.
  • The Body Shop Camomile Eye Makeup Remover: This did almost nothing to remove any sort of makeup on my face. For that reason, I do not like this. I’d rather use a micellar water.
