Cover FX Power Play Concealer vs. Jouer High Coverage Liquid Concealer

New concealers are popping up everywhere and I couldn’t be more excited about it. My favourite concealer of all time is amazing but is not convenient to buy in Canada. The Tarte Shape Tape is the bane of my existence but is so so good. But, I came across these two brand new, full coverage concealers that looked really promising.

I’ve been trying these concealers out for a couple weeks and today I’ll be talking all about the Cover FX Power Play Concealer and the Jouer High Coverage Liquid Concealer.

The Jouer Essential High Coverage Liquid Concealer is a full coverage concealer that comes in 25 shades. It has a doe foot applicator and picks up a great amount of product. It contains hyaluronic acid and resveratrol to create a creaseless, soft matte finish. The Jouer concealer can be purchased on the Sephora website here and is $28(CAD).

The Cover FX Power Play Concealer is also a full-coverage concealer. It blurs imperfections and leaves a natural-radiant finish. It comes is 30 different shades and has a really interesting applicator. I’ve never seen an applicator like this. It’s a ball on the end and actually picks up a really good amount of product. The Cover FX concealer can be purchased on the Sephora website here and is $36(CAD).

As for which concealer I like better has changed a couple times. Both concealers definitely give the Tarte Shape Tape a run for it’s money. I do love how full coverage they both are and they both come in an amazing range of colours and tones.

But, I think in the end I like the Cover FX Power Play concealer a little bit better just for my skin type. This is a little bit more thin than the Jouer one and definitely more moisturizing. Since it’s more moisturizing it creases a little bit less than the Jouer concealer under my eyes. It also brightens up my under eyes like woah.

The Cover Fx Power Play concealer wears so nicely and gives a slight blurring effect. It lasts all day when I set it. It blends out without much effort at all and you need quite a small amount of product.

I will absolutely be repurchasing the Cover FX concealer! Not only is it more accessible than the Tarte Shape Tape concealer but it’s less expensive and does an amazing job!

Have you tried any new concealers lately?
