Skincare is the backbone of any beauty regime. Skincare creates the beautiful canvas in which you apply makeup to. But in all seriousness, I cannot try enough skincare products. I’m always trying to better my skincare routine and find my holy grail products. I usually go for drugstore face cleansers but decided during the Sephora sale to try the Glow Recipe Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser.
Glow Recipe is a Korean Beauty brand that focuses solely on skincare. You can find it on the Sephora website.
This cleanser is a 3-in-1 product. It can be a gentle cleanser, a makeup remover, and a mask. It contains antioxidant-rich blueberries, hyaluronic acid, and AHAs. Gentle oils will cleanse the skin and remove makeup without stripping your skin. This is a gel cleanser and can be used with all skin types.
This cleanser is $45 (CAD). It can be purchased here.
This cleanser worked amazingly at removing my makeup and not stripping my skin. I usually avoid gel cleansers at all costs with my dry skin but this one didn’t dry my skin out at all. I loved that! I used this to remove some Halloween makeup I did and it removed it all with no problem at all.
I haven’t used this cleanser as a mask because I think it would strip my skin if it was on my skin for too long.
The scent is described on the Glow Recipe website as a fruity sensorial experience with a hint of floral. Unfortunately, the scent really bothered me. I’m not usually one who is sensitive to scents but this one really irritated my nose. I could still smell it on my skin until I applied moisturizer.
So, I think I’ll be returning this cleanser.
