Foundation Friday: L’Oreal Infallible 24H Fresh Wear Foundation

Yes. I did what I always do which is start something I’m really excited about on my blog, then get busy with life, and put my blog on the back burner. But, I’m back at it with another exciting (DRUGSTORE) Foundation Friday.

This week I’ll be talking about the brand new L’Oreal Infallible 24H Fresh Wear Foundation. And, to go with that, I’ll also give a little snippet of the new L’oreal Infallible Full Wear Concealer.

If you are looking for a great, drugstore foundation for all skin types, this is it! It is a lightweight, fresh, breathable formula. This formula is meant to be 24 hour wear that is waterproof, sweat-proof, transfer-proof. It is a medium-to-full coverage foundation that is buildable.

I don’t remember exactly how much this foundation was but it’s on the pricier side for drugstore. I want to say it was $17-$19. I got mine at Shoppers Drug Mart but have seen it at every drugstore since then.

The foundation has a really nice glass bottle with a great pump.

For a little snippet on the concealer, it is a full-coverage concealer that has an applicator similar to the Tarte Shape Tape concealer. It’s a huge applicator. It is meant to be non-greasy, waterproof, and for the full face. It is also marketed that it can be used on the body to cover bruises, stretch marks, and discolouration.

The first time I used this foundation, I absolutely hated it. It made my skin look cakey and it settled into all of my fine lines. Just for reference, I’m 26 and don’t have crazy fine lines. It make me look older than I am.

What I realized, is I applied too much. The second time I used it, I used less and loved it. That being said, I don’t think this foundation is buildable. I do agree that it’s a medium-to-full coverage. It’s not one of those foundation that is so lightweight that it looks like your not wearing anything but it is a nice satin-matte finish.

It is a really great drugstore option for those who might not know what skin type they have and like medium coverage. I applied this with a sponge, as always. I think with a brush it would make the foundation look way too heavy on my skin.

The concealer, I’m obsessed with. I feel like so many brands are trying to come close to Tarte Shape Tape and this is the closest I’ve tried. Its a gorgeous full-coverage concealer that blends like a dream. It brightens up my under-eyes so well and doesn’t crease under my eyes.

Have you tried this foundation or concealer? What do you think?
