• June Beauty Favourites

Finally summer is upon us in Halifax. We’ve had a good week of nice ish weather and I feel like summer is finally here. So, I’ve busted out all of my coral makeup items and I’ve been loving it. I don’t feel like its summer yet until I wear coral on my eyes, my cheeks, and my lips. Is that crazy of me?  So today I’ll be talking about a couple beauty products I have been loving this past month! I love a good face mist and what it adds to my skincare routine. I use a face mist instead of a toner because I find I can get more…

  • 2017 Makeup Favourites

Another year gone, another year with me spending WAY too much money on makeup. It has gotten to the point that no one wants to get me makeup for christmas because they just assume I have all the makeup. Which, I mean, is so untrue. So if anyone reading this ever wants to get me a gift, I will happily accept more makeup.  With this being the start of 2018, a brand new year, I thought I would go through my makeup stash and round up all my favourite products from the last year. I’ll be sure to link any posts dedicated to individual products that I talk about.  If…

  • Annabelle Cosmetics First Impression

I’m not gonna lie,  before this, I never tried Annabelle Cosmetics. I don’t know if it’s that its purely a Canadian brand and so it’s not really hyped in the beauty community but I never tested anything out from them. I decided to branch out the other day when Shoppers Drug Mart was having a points event and being the shopaholic I am, I had to spend a certain amount. I was wandering the makeup aisle (as I do) and noticed the Annabelle Cosmetics display. A few products caught my eye so I thought I would give them a go.  Today, I’ll be talking about the Canadian brand Annabelle Cosmetics. …

  • Summer Beauty Essentials

I know Summer is basically half over for us Canadians and I’m super late on this but today I thought I’d talk about my essential beauty products for Summer. I feel like Nova Scotia has been having a really nice summer. It’s been as humid as always but I love summer so much. Sitting on a patio with good food and drink in my hand is everything to me.  I really wanted to make this post because beauty products change from season to season. At least for me they change. I change the colours of blush, eyeshadow, bronzers, basically everything I wear in the summer. So I wanted to share…

  • Spring Ulta Haul 2017

I so wish we had an Ulta Beauty in Canada. So, when my sister told me she’s was going to the states a couple times over the next few months I recruited her to take my list to Ulta and get me some things I’ve been dying to try. It might actually be good that we don’t have Ulta here because I would spend all of my money there.  I decided to pick up some things that I couldn’t get in Canada but also some things that I just haven’t seen or are hard to get my hands on. Makeup Revolution was at the top of my list for products…

  • August 2016 Beauty Favorites

Unfortunately summer is coming to an end. It seems like it flew by. But, that makes me so excited for fall. The candles, the sweaters, the scarves, the teas, the dark lipstick, the not wanting to die of heat everytime I step outside. Okay, I’m rambling now. Onto my August 2016 Beauty Favourites! Let’s talk about my go to concealer for this month. This is the LA Girl Pro Conceal and I have mine in the shade classic ivory.  I only use this concealer for under my eyes. It has peach undertones which makes it perfect for cancelling out purple/blue. It’s a full coverage concealer but doesn’t feel drying at…

  • Colourpop Cosmetics Ultra Matte Lip

Liquid lipsticks have been a huge phenomenon this past year. Every brand has been coming out with them. I had heard so much about everything from Colourpop Cosmetics and I especially wanted to try the  Ultra Matte Lips. The last time I checked they had around 44 different shades in this Ultra Matte Lip and they cost $6 (USD). The 4 colours I got are Trap, Tulle, More Better, and LAX. Before applying any of these colours, it is best to exfoliate your lips and use a really good lip balm. Before you put them on, just wipe off the lip balm. I do find these the driest formula of…

  • Colourpop Cosmetics Blushes

My lovely boyfriend ordered me a bunch of Colourpop Cosmetics for christmas so, I’m gonna have some Colourpop reviews coming up. If you don’t know what Colourpop Cosmetics are they are a newer brand based out Los Angeles and they carry no power products. These products can only be bought on the Colourpop website. All of their blushes, bronzers, highlighters, and eyeshadows are all a cream. The first thing I wanted to review for you guys was the two blushes I got. They are called the Super Shock Cheek. These blushes are $8 (USD) so about $11 (CAD). I don’t think the price point is bad. They usually have coupon codes for…
