• Favourite Drugstore Makeup

Luxury makeup is nice and everything but there is nothing like the rush of finding an amazing makeup product at an affordable price. Knowing you can create an expensive look with drugstore products is one of the best feelings. Wow, this is making me feel like I need to get out more. I get asked all the time, what my favourite products at the drugstore are so I thought I would round them up and talk about all my fav drugstore makeup products. One of the products I really don’t think needs to be high end to be effective is mascara. My favourite mascara is the Maybelline Lash Sensational in…

  • End of Summer Beauty Empties

I know, I know, I know. Another beauty empties. But I’m telling you, they never stop. I’m constantly using up products and so I have to make these posts kind of often. Maybe I should just make this a monthly post so that these posts aren’t so overwhelming for me and for you.  I know I say this every time but, if you don’t know what Empties posts are, I show you all the products I’ve used up in the last little but and give you a little review on each product.  I’ll warn you, most of these products I love.  The Good:  Love Beauty & Planet Coconut Water and…

  • It Cosmetics Superhero Eyeliner and Mascara

If you didn’t know, It Cosmetics has amazing skincare products. They also have absolutely amazing makeup products. One of the most famous makeup products It Cosmetics product carries is their Your Skin But Better CC Cream. I can’t say enough good things about that CC Cream. So when I received another amazing package from It Cosmetics containing a couple makeup products, I was super pumped.  Today I’ll be talking all about the It Cosmetics Super Here Mascara and Liner.  The It Cosmetics Superhero liner is a 24-hour liquid gel eyeliner. It has a brush tip applicator and triple black pigment complex so it creates a really black line. I found…

  • Valentines Day Makeup Look – 3 Ways

I have to say, I’m one of those people who loves Valentines Day. I love celebrating and being with the person I love. I also love doing holiday makeup looks. Themed makeup looks are just so fun to do! This Valentine’s Day I’m spending the day doing some self love and then going to a romantic dinner with my boyfriend and eating my weight in carbs.  Also this year, I thought I would do 3 different makeup looks to celebrate the day. I did a soft and pretty look, a classic look, and a bold look.  Face:  L’Oreal Pro Glow Foundation Tarte Shape Tape Concealer RCMA No Colour Powder Physicians…

  • Canadian Beauty Blogger Gift Exchange

During the holiday season I was able to participate in a Secret Santa Gift Exchange with the Canadian Beauty Blogger community. I was so excited because, since I like in Nova Scotia, I’m not able to participate in a ton of Beauty blogger stuff! But this was all done online and through the magic of mail.  The gift exchange was done through Elfster and went so well! I sent off my gift and got a gift!  Today I thought I would share everything my (not so) Secret Santa sent to me!  My secret Santa was Desiree! Her blog is http://www.desireplusane.ca and her Instagram is @desireelaw. Go give her a follow and…

  • 2017 Makeup Favourites

Another year gone, another year with me spending WAY too much money on makeup. It has gotten to the point that no one wants to get me makeup for christmas because they just assume I have all the makeup. Which, I mean, is so untrue. So if anyone reading this ever wants to get me a gift, I will happily accept more makeup.  With this being the start of 2018, a brand new year, I thought I would go through my makeup stash and round up all my favourite products from the last year. I’ll be sure to link any posts dedicated to individual products that I talk about.  If…

  • Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara: Worth The Price?

Mascara is one of those staple items in my makeup collection. I can be wearing no other makeup at all but when I have mascara on it opens up my eyes, makes me look more awake, and makes me look more pulled together. So, when this gorgeous Givenchy Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara arrived on my doorstep I was thrilled.  Today I’ll be doing a quick review on the Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara and whether or not I think it’s worth the price. First of all lets talk about the packaging. In one word: luxury. It’s quite a heavy tube for a mascara and definitely feels expensive. I love the sleekness of the…

  • June Beauty Empties

This post feels so great to do. I haven’t done an empties post in such a long time and these products have been sitting in a bag ready to be tossed but I couldn’t/wouldn’t because I wanted to do this post for you guys! Empties are not only satisfying to post but it’s also so satisfying to throw out the products once you’re done taking pictures of them (bye Felicia). Some I love and some I’m happy to see gone!  Forewarning: This may be a long post.  If you don’t know what empties posts are, I basically go through products I’ve used up, give you a quick review, and let…

  • Urban Decay Total Perversion Reloaded

Everyday I wear makeup I always wear a black liquid liner. No ifs ands or butts about that. I love the way black liquid liner defines my eyes and makes them stand out. My favourite liquid liners, and easiest to use in my opinion, is the ones that are like pens. They make drawing on eyeliner so easy and it’s much easier to do a wing if you’re into that. So, with that being said, I’m always looking for the next best one. I was shopping on Sephora.com and saw this set. This little set is slightly less expensive than the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner, which is my favourite,…

  • August/September Empties

Wanna see what I’m going to throw out? I use a lot of different products and it’s a big deal to me when I fully use something up. I love being able to give my thoughts on a product after it’s completely done.  I feel like you can get such a sense of the product that way because it’s empty. I don’t typically go through makeup nearly as fast as I go through haircare or skincare so it’s mostly going to be hair and skin stuff! If you want to see what I’ve used up over the past couple of months then keep on reading!   Lets start with makeup. I…
