• Beauty Empties January 2019

Doing these posts make me feel so good. I can finally throw out everything that’s empty. If you have watched the Netflix series “Tidying Up”, having empty products around does not spark joy in my life. If you’re new to these types of posts, I basically give you the low down on products I have used up entirely. I give little snippet reviews and let you know if I would repurchase the product. I don’t really have any disappointing products in this round of empties, which is great! Lets start with the obvious 3 cans of dry shampoo. Batiste is my #1 dry shampoo of all time. Both of these…

  • Tarte Shape Tape Hydrating Foundation | REVIEW

Let me say, first of all, the shade range of this foundation is absolute crap. Second of all, the shade I picked for myself is wrong. It’s too dark for me and I know. But, I was so freaking excited to try this foundation because of the fact that it’s TARTE SHAPE TAPE FOUNDATION. The most amazing concealer that has ever blessed us, now has a foundation to go along with it.  I feel like most of what I’ve done lately is review foundations. But, I love the heck out of foundations and I love trying to find the perfect foundation for my skin.  As soon as this foundation was…

  • 2017 Makeup Favourites

Another year gone, another year with me spending WAY too much money on makeup. It has gotten to the point that no one wants to get me makeup for christmas because they just assume I have all the makeup. Which, I mean, is so untrue. So if anyone reading this ever wants to get me a gift, I will happily accept more makeup.  With this being the start of 2018, a brand new year, I thought I would go through my makeup stash and round up all my favourite products from the last year. I’ll be sure to link any posts dedicated to individual products that I talk about.  If…

  • Beauty Oils: Friend or Foe?

Beauty oils have hit the beauty community in a big way. They are a huge trend on instagram and can be used in so many ways! But, they can be viewed as a big no-no especially to people with oily/combination skin. “Will it make me more oily?” “Will it make me break out?” “Do I need another product in my skincare routine?” These are common questions I get asked when I talk with people about facial oils. I asked the same questions! Today I’ll be talking all about facial/beauty oils, if they will work for your skin (they will), and what are some of my favourites! Be warned: you will…

  • May Beauty Favourites

May was an interesting month for me. It was the month of my sisters bridal shower that I planned, it was my birthday month, and it was the month I spent a week in bed sick with a terrible cold. For the entire week I was sick I didn’t wear makeup. It did great things for my skin but when I finally got to put makeup on again on my birthday, I felt amazing.  Isn’t it amazing that putting on makeup can instantly make you feel better and put you in a better mood? It’s on of the reasons I got into makeup. I love feeling great about myself and…

  • Tarte Shape Tape Concealer

This concealer was not easy to get a hold of. Not only is it not carried at Sephora but it is constantly out of stock on the Tarte website. So, when I saw it was in stock on the Tarte website only in the colour I need I thought to myself, ‘you need this concealer, Emily’. So, I of course picked up this hyped concealer! This concealer is marketed as a 2 in 1 product that you are supposed to be able to highlight and contour with. I only got a highlight concealer shade because I’m not much into cream contouring. It is a hydrating, longwearing formula that delivers natural, radiant coverage…
