• Favourite Glowy Makeup Products for Summer

Summer is officially upon us and with that brings the glowiest makeup. Some of the glow may be sweat, but a lot I can attribute to the makeup and pre makeup products I use. Glowy makeup isn’t for everyone but I have dry skin and like to look like I have been lightly sweating all day. In todays post, I’ll be chatting about my favourite products that I use to achieve a very glowy makeup look. It starts with the skin and ends on my lips! Enjoy! I start with a clean face and then use the ever popular on Tik Tok Glow Recipe products. My steps are the Glow…

  • Favourite Drugstore Makeup

Luxury makeup is nice and everything but there is nothing like the rush of finding an amazing makeup product at an affordable price. Knowing you can create an expensive look with drugstore products is one of the best feelings. Wow, this is making me feel like I need to get out more. I get asked all the time, what my favourite products at the drugstore are so I thought I would round them up and talk about all my fav drugstore makeup products. One of the products I really don’t think needs to be high end to be effective is mascara. My favourite mascara is the Maybelline Lash Sensational in…

  • How to Get The Glow: My Favourite Glowy Products

Spring is officially here in Halifax (it’s 11 degrees today!!) and summer is approaching quickly. That means, it is about time to dig out your most glowy/JLO products to make you glow to the gods. When it comes to products to make your skin glow, I am a bit high maintenance and use a few products to achieve my desired glow. Today I’ll be talking all about my favourite glowy makeup products to achieve my best JLO self. When it comes to foundation/concealer/setting powder, I’m not going to mention any specific product. I just don’t mess with anything too mattifying. Not to mention my skin is super dry but I…

  • March Beauty Favourites

With missing my February beauty favourites, this is kind of a combination of two months. Within those two months I went away twice and both to sunny destinations. I went to Miami and the Bahamas and both trips were absolutely amazing. If you want to see what I do on my trips, be sure to follow me on instagram. I post a lot on my stories when I’m on vacation. I’m also getting more and more into glowy products. I’m going to do a blog post soon on my go-to glow products but until then I’m going to include some glow in my favourites today. Not only do I have…

  • My Halloween Makeup Looks

Not only do I get super excited for the fall season but I love Halloween. But, I don’t actually do anything on actual Halloween. I mostly eat halloween chocolates and do makeup looks. I love getting inspiration for Halloween makeup looks and then seeing if I can create them. This year I decided to try and do 3 different makeup looks. Last year I did more pretty looks but this year I wanted to do more scary looks. But, the looks still have a pretty vibe to them.  Get ready to see my scary clown, ice princess, and zombie.  Oh by the way, apparently I really like the head tilt. …

  • Wet N Wild Colour Eyecon Eyeshadow Quad

If you have ever been doubtful of Wet N Wild products because the packaging isn’t that nice and they are the cheapest brand at the drugstore, you need to reevaluate your life. I have never tried a Wet N Wild product I don’t like. Even though they are a very inexpensive brand, their products are exceptional.  They recently reformulated and relaunched their Color Eyecon Eyeshadows. I have their original Comfort Zone Palette and love it. The used to only have trios and 8 pan palettes but they now only have quads and 10 pan palettes. When they came out with all of these new quads I wanted to try them…

  • Beauty Empties March 2018

Ever wanted to see what’s in my garbage? No? Well, you’re about to. I go through product all the time and I think it’s fun to see what products beauty junkies actually use up completely. You get a really good idea of the product when you use the whole darn thing. I mostly use up skincare and body care stuff but I do finish the occasional makeup item.  If you’re interested to know what beauty products I’ve used up recently and what I think of them, keep on reading! The Good: The Simple Micellar Water is my favourite cleansing water. It also helps that it’s like $8 at the drugstore.…

  • My Favourite Makeup Brushes

It’s hard to create an amazing painting without tools and it’s near impossible to create beautifully artistry on your face without brushes and beauty tools. I don’t have a massive collection of brushes but I have put together a few that I would be absolutely lost without. Todays post is all about my favourite brushes that I own. As with anything, the prices range from high end to drugstore.  Let’s start with face tools.  I love a good multi use brush. They are amazing for powder, bronzer, blush, and more! They are also amazing for travel. You can take one brush and do it all. My go-to’s are actually all from…

  • US Drugstore Haul

August has been actually crazy for me. My sister got married and then a week later one of my best friends got married. After all that madness and fun, my boyfriend and I decided to take a vacation and we spent 4 full days in New York City. While I was in New York I went into a couple drugstores. By a couple I mean I went into every drugstore I came by. I also went to the Glossier Showroom while I was away, had such a fun time there, and picked up a few products I thought I would include. If you want to see what I picked up…

  • Soft Valentines Day Makeup Look

For valentines day I feel like you can do one of two traditional makeup looks: soft and pink, or smokey with a red lip. I decided to go for the first this year. I went on a dinner date with my boyfriend and he commented on how nice my makeup looked, which I think is a win.  I find this look is really soft and glamourous. It emphasizes features on the face in a really pretty way. I have a full coverage face with a light contour, blush, and highlight. My eyes are really light and feminine with whispy lashes. On my lips I used a nice classic cool toned…
