October Empties

Let me show you my garbage! Empties are fun because you get a solid review of the product. Since I’ve finished the whole this I have a pretty good idea whether or not I like it.

St Ives Oatmeal Scrub and Mask

I really enjoyed this exfoliator as a mask and not so much as an exfoliator. It says on the packaging you can use it as an exfoliator or leave it on for around 5 minutes. I like a gritty exfoliator and this is more gentle than I like. As an in shower mask I really liked it. It was quite moisturizing and smelled really good. I’m not sure I would repurchase it just because I wasn’t a fan of the exfoliation properties.

Eyes Black Magic Mascara

This mascara was good for no makeup makeup days. It’s a very natural mascara and people who like that look on a day to day basis would love it. It separates well and lengthens a bit. I like a bit more volume than this mascara provided so I won’t be purchasing a full size of this.

Bioderma Micelle Solution

My love. I love this cleansing water so much. It removes makeup so well (even waterproof mascara) and never stings my eyes. It has no smell and it is perfect for sensitive skin. When I try another cleansing water I always compare it to this one. Currently I’m trying the simple cleansing water and it’s good but it’s no bioderma. I will definitely be repurchasing this in the near future.

Nivea Lip Butter in Vanilla Macadamia

This is a great lip balm. I kept this lip balm on my night side table so I could slather it on before bed. It’s quite a thick ‘butter’ consistency which I really like. It made my lips super soft and I never got sick of the smell. I really recommend this for a great drugstore lip balm. I can’t wait to buy this again.

Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser

I have used probably 4 different bottles of this stuff. It’s a really good cleansing for removing makeup and if you want a really clean face. The smell is a subtle lemon which is nice in the morning to wake you up. As were getting into the colder months I think I’ll look for a more moisturizing cleanser because my skin does get a bit more dry and this cleanser tends to dry out my face. But I would absolutely recommend this for someone with oily/combo skin.

Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara

This is a mascara that people love. I am unfortunately not one of those people. It did keep my lashes curled and gave lots of nice separation but the formula is a little dry for my taste. I like a little bit of a wetter mascara. Because of that I won’t be repurchasing this.

Bath and Body Words Caramel Pumpkin Swirl candle

I wasn’t sure whether or not to include this because it’s not really beauty but oh well. First off, I love bath and body works candles. They are my fav candles. This candle was quite strong which I liked. I only had to burn it for about 30 minutes for the smell to be everywhere in my apartment. The candle lasted quite a long time. It also smelled so good. It smelled like a sweet pumpkin but with cinnamon in it. It was so delicious and made me a little hungry. I don’t think this is available anymore but I would buy this again next year.
