My Go To Fall Lipsticks

Fall has to be my favourite time of the year for makeup. Although I love a good tan, my skin really suits me being fair. Also, I love wearing deeper makeup on my eyes, my cheeks, and my lips. When September comes around, I’m pretty sick of wearing corals and ready to wear some reds, browns, and berries. Today I’ll be talking all about my go-to fall lipsticks. I tried to include some day-time fall lipsticks as well as some night-time options. But to be honest, I would wear all of these day or night. Hope you enjoy my choices! Swatches at the end!!

First is this gorgeous Kat Von D lipstick. It’s in the colour Cathedral and is a perfect brown rose colour. It’s so flattering in the fall time. I love this colour on my fair skin because it just pops. The finish is matte and it lasts a decent amount of time of the lips. Probably 6 hours without fading. 

Next has been my go-to drugstore liquid lip for about a month now. This is the Maybelline Superstar Matte Ink in the colour Lover. It’s a gorgeous pinky mauve colour. This is a great non-drying liquid lipstick. It’s not as long lasting as other liquid lips but is really comfortable to wear. This colour is a staple for me in the fall time. 

The next colour is really similar to the last but I need both because I just do. It is the Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick in the colour 13 Marvellous Mauve. It is such a nice mauve colour and has a completely matte finish. It is one of the more comfortable matte liquid lipsticks that I’ve tried and lasts through just about anything. I’ve eaten and drank with this liquid lip on and it hasn’t budged. I’ll probably pick more of these up during the VIB sale!

Another great drugstore option is the Nyx Extra Creamy Round Lipstick in the shade Mars. This is another browny pink but has a really creamy formula. This is a great lipstick for people who don’t mind reapplying it throughout the day. The colour is probably the most neutral and natural I have here and is great for daytime in the fall. 

My last two are dramatic nighttime fall lipsticks. A cult favourite from Mac Cosmetics would have to be Rebel. It is a dark plum lipstick and really packs a punch. It’s really a cool colour because it’s bright but deep at the same time. It’s a lipstick if you want to stand out. It’s a satin finish.

I had to include a deep red in the mix. This is a gorgeous, inexpensive deep, matte red. It is Colourpop Lippie Stix in the shade Bichette. First off, the name is so fitting because when I wear this lipstick it makes me feel some kind of powerful way. This amazing, pigmented, matte lip colour will definitely turn heads.
