Maybelline Lemonade Craze Eyeshadow Palette

There are three makeup products I am always the most excited to buy and try out. My biggest is foundation. My second favourite is eyeshadow palettes and my third is concealer. I also love trying out anything drugstore. If I can find something amazing at an affordable cost, it’s like winning the lottery for me. So, when I saw the ads start to come out for the Maybelline Lemonade Craze Eyeshadow Palette, I got super excited. The colours are gorgeous and Mayeblline’s eyeshadows are usually really good!

This eyeshadow palette is really interesting. It’s not your typical neutral eyeshadow palette. It does have some neutrals but also has some really nice pops of colour. One great thing about this eyeshadow palette that I don’t find with many other drugstore eyeshadow palettes is that you can create a whole look with this palette.

This palette contains 8 satin/matte shadows and 4 metallic shimmer shadows. Of course, the shimmer colours are much more pigmented on a finger swatch than the matte shadows. The colours, honestly, didn’t swatch nicely at all. But, I can never judge a palette based on swatching. I have to try it on my eyes.

I love the warm tones of these shadows but there is also a nice mix of a couple cool toned shadows. The shadows are fairly pigmented. They didn’t blow my mind, pigmented, but they blend out really nicely. I was worried about that raspberry colour but it ended up blending really well.

What is also interesting that a lot of brands are doing now a days is, this product is scented. It’s got a light citrus scent. It’s very subtle but if you get your nose right in there you can smell it.

These shadows do have a ton of powder kick up when you use them and a lot of fall out on your face. This is something I can work around by doing my eye makeup before my foundation.

Overall, I’m really happy I picked up this eyeshadow palette. It has colours that I don’t have yet. It also blends really nicely and you can create a seamless look. Is it my favourite eyeshadow palette ever? Well, I don’t pick favourites but I wouldn’t say so.

Have any of you tried out this palette? What did you think?
