Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer

This concealer has been the talk of the beauty town for a while now. That is for one major reason: it is said to be a dupe for the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. If you don’t know what that is, you have been living under a massive rock. Tarte Shape Tape is the best concealer known to mankind. If there is a concealer that is less expensive and just as good, you better believe I’m gonna pick that bad boy out and put it to the test.

This concealer is by an up and coming brand called Makeup Revolution. As far as I know, it’s only available at Ulta. Great news for my Canadian girls, Ulta now ships to Canada! It is $7 (USD) and around $9 (CAD). AMAZING PRICE!

This concealer comes in 25 different shades (more than Shape Tape). This is an amazing shade range! The shades I like to use are C1 for under my eyes and C7 for my face.

The formula of this concealer is super creamy and blendable. For those familiar with the Shape Tape formula, the Makeup Revolution concealer is a little more of a thin formula. I find this concealer to be a lightweight but medium to full coverage concealer. If it makes any sense, it gives great coverage but feels super lightweight. It doesn’t really feel like you’re wearing concealer and yet, what you want covered is covered.

The applicator of the Makeup Revolution is similar to the Tape Shape Concealer in that, it’s larger than most concealer. It’s not as big as the Tarte one, but definitely competes with it.

All in all, this concealer does what I need it to do. It covers what I need it to cover and brightens my under eyes. I don’t have a ton of discolouration and my under eyes are terrible but it works for me. It is not crease proof but no concealer are crease proof on me. I set all of my concealers with powder and this one is no different. This concealer is a great budget-friendly choice!

Sometimes when I use the Tarte Shape Tape and then set my under eyes, they look a little bit dry. When I use the Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define, it doesn’t do this.
