My Makeup Storage
As someone who has a decent amount of makeup, I love my makeup storage. I don’t have a huge apartment so my makeup storage doesn’t take up much room which is perfect. It also looks really nice and tidy. Is what I have right now going to be my forever solution? Probably not. But, it works for me right now and I’m hoping it will give you some ideas.

My makeup lives in the corner of my bedroom. My dresser is the perfect height for me to stand at with my vanity mirror and do my makeup. I have a bit of natural light that comes into my room so that really helps.
I got this makeup mirror as a gift so I’m not sure where it’s from but I think it was around $60. This one from Bed Bath and Beyond is similar.
My drawers are the Alex 9 drawers from Ikea in white. Almost every makeup blogger I know uses these drawers and thats because they aren’t that expensive, they look sleek, and they’re super functional. It has 9 drawers. The top 5 are smaller and the bottom 4 are a bit larger. It is $149 which isn’t a bad price considering some are as much at $500. It can be purchased here.
On top of my Ikea Alex drawers I keep my setting sprays, a beauty oil, and all my brushes. I have my face brushes split into base face brushes and cheek brushes. All of my eye brushes are in the same container. These vases I also got from ikea. I can’t find them on the website but I have seen them in the store recently. They were under $10 each.
My top drawer is all of my lipsticks, lip glosses, and lip liners. I have all of my Mac Cosmetics and higher end lipsticks in lipstick holders. In the far left drawer is all of my lip glosses and in the middle drawer is lip balms and lip liners. The far right container has mis matched lipsticks that wouldn’t fit in lipstick holders. I got all of these clear containers at Winners.
A drawer that I’m missing because it isn’t organized the way I want it is my bronzers and primers. I have them in one drawer right now and I’m not crazy about it. Sorry!!!
My next drawer is all cheek products. I have blushes and highlighters in this drawer. I have a blush palette from Lorac which I definitely need to use more. I also have cream blushes and highlighters together. All of my powder blushes are in the middle container. Powder and some liquid highlighters are in the far right container. Love this drawer!
This drawer contains some different eye products. On the right are my eye primers and eyelash glue. Below that is my mascaras and eyelash curler. In the middle container is eyeliner and eyebrow products. In the far right containers are liquid and cream shadows.
All of my eye palettes are in one drawer. I love this drawer because I can see all of the palettes I have. This has high end and drugstore palettes. It also contains some eyeshadow quads.
I have another drawer with large eyeshadow palettes that are laying down such as large Morphe eyeshadow palettes and my Z palette.
Another one of my favourite drawers is my face base products. All of my foundations can stand up in the far left container. I also keep my beauty blender in here. My concealers are in the middle compartment. I have all of my foundations that won’t stand up in the middle laying down. On the right side I keep my face powders. I mostly use loose powders so thats what I have the most of!
This drawer is a mix of a bunch of products and all of my liquid lipsticks. This has all of my lashes, nail polish remover, and random products. I love being able to go through this drawer and see all of my liquid lipsticks. Unfortunately, I kind of throw random products in here.
My last drawer has all of my nail polishes. The are separated into neutrals, everyday colours, base coats and top coats, and everything else. I love storing my nail polishes this way because I can see them all and see all of the colours.
