Drugstore Makeup Haul – October 2015

Who doesn’t love drugstore makeup? I mean, cmon you’d have to be crazy not to love a good bargain. My boyfriend always rolls his eyes (with love) at me when we go into Walmart or any drugstore because I head straight for the beauty section. I don’t know how it happens, one minute I’m walking through the door and the next I have 2 lipsticks in my basket. What was exciting about this particular haul is I mostly purchased products I have never tried before. Most of the products I have heard other bloggers or youtubers talk about so I kind of know what I’m in for.

I picked up a couple of things for the face including this foundation I have never heard anyone talk about. Flower Beauty is new to Canadian Walmart’s and I have never tried anything from the brand. This is the Skincognito Stick Foundation and I got mine in the shade SF3. When I watched this in store it seemed really creamy and blended out really well. Hopefully the color matches me and it’s pretty decent coverage. To go over that I got the Maybelline Fit Me powder in 125 Nude Beige. I have the Fit Me Concealer and I love it so I’m sure this will be good. I’ve heard KathleenLights talk about this. I also got the Wet N Wild blush in Pearlescent Pink. In store it looked like a nice light pink color but now that I’ve got it home it looks more peachy pink so I’m wondering what color it will be once I put it on.

For eyes I got the Ardell Glamour Lashes in 102 Demi. I’ve been looking for lashes like this that are separated to give a cool look to the eye. I’ve also wanted to try the Miss Manga mascara from L’oreal for a while but I saw the Miss Manga Rock mascara and the description was interesting so I picked this one up instead. It says Explosive Volume & Rebellious Spikes. I’m not sure what Rebellious Spikes are going to do to my lashes but I guess we’ll see. I’m that person who has to put on a coat of waterproof mascara on before other mascara so my lashes will stay curled.

Since I had never tried Flower Cosmetics I wanted to try a couple products so I also got their Lip Suede in Red-dy to Bloom. It looks like a gorgeous pinky red color. It also says it has a matte finish which I love. For lips I also got two Essence Cosmetics lip pencils in the colors In The Nude and Satin Mauve. I have heard a couple YouTubers use these and love them so I’m excited.

Then finally for nails I got the Essence Cosmetics Gel Nail Polish in Amazed by You. Not going to lie, I already tried it and have it on my nails currently and its gorgeous. It took two coats to get full opacity. It has been on my nails for 3 days so far and no chipping. It also is very shiny and does look like gel polish. I’m very impressed with this inexpensive nail polish so far and now I want them all.

The holiday season is fast approaching and I’m sure there is going to be a ton of new releases at the drugstore. Any one hear what those may be? Let me know what you’ve picked up recently at the drugstore!!
