Milk Makeup Sunshine Skin Tint Foundation – Review

Even with summer come and gone I can still get down with a skin tint. They don’t feel heavy on the skin, are usually dewy (which I love), and offer some coverage. I was on my VIB sale hunt and walked by the Milk Makeup display and what caught my eye about this product was that it said “SKIN TINT WITH OIL”. My dry ass was like “uhhh yes please”.

I asked a sales associate right away what was up with this product. She said its a nice product and its buildable coverage. I was on a Sephora buying rampage at the time and thought YOLO. So I picked it up.

Today we’ll be talking about a skin tint I have heard little about which is the Milk Makeup Sunshine Skin Tint Foundation.

Milk Makeup describes this product as a skin tint that provides light coverage and leaves a weightless feeling on the skin. It moisturizes with a blend of grapeseed, avocado, mandarin, jojoba, and olive oils to give the skin a dewy look. It has broad spectrum SPF 30 and contains ingredients that won’t cause flashback like other SPFs. It comes in 14 different shades which is marketed that they can be adapted to different skin tones because of its sheerness.

The packaging of this product is very interesting. It comes with a click button that you press to release the product into the glass rollerball that you then roll onto you skin. It’s a click, roll, and blend system. You can blend it in however ou like. I chose to blend in with a beauty blender.

It is 16ml and costs $56 (CAD).

I am not wild about the packaging. For some reason it just feels dirty to apply a foundation right to my face. Not that I have a dirty face but it just irks me for some reason. The packaging is cool, it’s different, but I’m not the biggest fan of it.

I absolutely love the finish it gives to my skin. It leaves me looking so dewy and healthy looking. When I put this on I took a double take of myself in the mirror and, god damn, I looked glowy.

The finish of this is definitely sheer to light. I would say this gives hardly any coverage but evens out the skin a little bit. If you have problematic skin that you want to cover things up, I would skip this product. This is a product that you can still see some skin imperfections with. I don’t find it buildable but that’s just me.

It blends in so nicely into the skin that you can’t even tell you’re wearing makeup. I also love the fact that it has SPF so this product is amazing for the summer for us dry skin chicks.

As I was reading review on the Milk Makeup website, a lot of reviews are saying the formula has changed and the new formula sucks compared to the old formula. I can’t speak to this but it’s interesting to note.

I don’t think there is enough to like about this product to justify the price. That might just be for me but I don’t think it’s worth the almost $60 price tag.

I recommend this product if you don’t mind spending the money on a product that doesn’t give much coverage but gives great finish to the skin and has SPF.

Let me know if you have tried this product or any other skin tints you love!
