Foreo LUNA Mini 2 | Review

This little device caught my eye on the Sephora website one day for 2 reasons. 1. My dogs name is Luna and I’m obsessed with anything that says Luna. And 2. A lot of the reviews on Sephora are people talking about how they used the Clairsonic for years and then switched to this because it’s so much better. So, when I got a Sephora gift card for christmas I decided to splurge on something I wouldn’t normally buy for myself.

Today I’ll be talking all about the Foreo LUNA Mini 2, why it’s worth it, and how it’s improved my skin!

The claims of this product are pretty big and pretty spectacular. To use this device you turn it on with that button in the middle and you can adjust the intensity with the + and – signs. It has 8 levels of  intensity. This device is very gentle and hygienic. It has soft silicone bristles which bacteria cannot build up on. You also never have to replace the brush head. It has 3 different touch points of bristle levels for every skin type. It is 100% waterproof so it can be used in the shower. One charge lasts 5 months, or around 300 uses. It comes with a 2 year warranty that you can register on the Foreo website as well!

The price of this device is a little steep at $159 CAD. It can be purchased on the Foreo website or on the Sephora website.

So because I am so lazy with my skincare in the morning I only use this at night once I’ve taken my makeup off. I really like to treat my skin at night so I find this works best for me. I also use this whenever I’m in the shower (which is usually at night). I wanted to try this because it seemed more gentle than other cleansing devices and I like the fact that you don’t have to replace the brush head.

I’ve been using this for a little over a month now and I can tell a difference in my skin. The texture in my skin has gone down significantly. At first, I think my skin was ‘purging’ a little bit because it got worse before it got better but now my skin looks and feels more glowy, more clear, and less discoloured. I might have mentioned this before but I’ve been getting dark spots on my face from old breakouts and this handy little device has helped to lighten up those spots.

Another thing I really love about this is it does a little extra pulse to tell you to move on to another part of your face. So I will start with one cheek/chin, move onto the other cheek/nose, then move to my forehead. You do have to be paying attention for these extra pulses because they can be quite subtle if you’re not paying attention.

I charged it as soon as I got it (over a month ago) and haven’t had to charge it since.

To me, this is worth the money and more budget friendly than the Clairsonic because of the brush heads. I’m really loving this and will continue to use this for a long time!

Have you tried any face cleansing devices? What works for you?
