Duckish Natural Skin Care Body Balm – 5x More Concentrated Than a Lotion?

Duckish Natural Skin Care is a Canadian-Based Bath, Body, and Baby company. They actually make most of their products in my home city, Halifax, NS! When they reached out to me to ask if I wanted to receive some products in exchange for a blog post, I had to do my research. About 5 minutes into my research and reading all of the positive impacts they are creating, I was so excited to say YES!

Duckish Natural Skin Care focuses on 4 different impacts – environmental impact, financial impact, skin impact, and lifestyle impact. Now you’re probably thinking, what the heck does that mean? Basically, the companies main focus is that their products contain little-to-no water. This helps with global water shortages, a more concentrated product means less packaging, you have to purchase less because the formula is so concentrated, a product without water is actually better for your skin, and the product being in a balm form makes it more accessible for people on-the-go.

From what I can tell, the Duckish Body Balm is the brands most popular product. I was sent the large size of the lavender scent and the mini size of the mint scent. The ingredients on these body balms read like you’re going to be the most moisturized person ever. They contain grapeseed oil, olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, almond oil, and jojoba oil. The scent for each of them comes from essential oil. So, the lavender contains lavender oil and the mint contains peppermint oil.

The packaging I really like. It’s like a stick of deodorant but is really convenient. The texture of it is almost like deodorant too. It’s s solid stick but leaves your skin feeling so moisturized.

The Body Balm comes in numerous scents – unscented, lavender, mint, grapefruit, and tea tree.

Let’s move onto the scent. For someone who loves lavender, the scent is amazing. It smells like true lavender which is a really hard scent to nail down, I’ve found. Since the scent comes from an essential oil it smells pure.

Since it is winter time and bitterly cold here, my skin gets so dry. I apply this all over my body and I love that it doesn’t leave me feeling sticky. I can also apply this to particular dry spots without getting my hands lotion-y. I can apply this to my body and still feeling moisturized for the next 48 hours. I also have noticed my hands are softer since I have started using this balm.

I also love the true convenience of this product. I went away this past weekend and brought the mint mini size. I didn’t have to worry about a lotion leaking in my bag or taking up a bunch of room.

I will be picking up these for sure when I run out. You can order these products online or they also have a store locator on their website where they list retailers they sell their products at. They actually sell at most Sobeys!

What do you think of a moisturizing balm stick? Would you pick one up? What scent would you get?
