• Urban Decay Naked Reloaded Eyeshadow Palette

I don’t know about other people but when I heard the original Urban Decay Naked Palette was being discontinued, I was a little hurt. The Urban Decay Naked Palette was the first high end eyeshadow palette I ever had. My sister bought this for me for my birthday in 2011. I couldn’t have been more excited because I had spent the last 9 months watching YouTube videos. But, I got excited when Urban Decay announced they were releasing a “Reloaded” version of the original Naked Palette. So, of course, when it released I had to get it because it looked like my neutral eyeshadow heaven. First off, let’s talk logistics.…

  • Natasha Denona Mini Lila Palette

I feel like over the last few years, Natasha Denona, has blown up. I feel like Natasha Denona’s most famous and popular products are her large eyeshadow palettes. But, not everyone can afford $300 for an eyeshadow. So, when she came out with these mini palettes I wanted to try them out. I have tried out Natasha Denona eyeshadows before but wasn’t amazingly impressed. I saw the mini Camel palette and that looked nice but it was just a neutral palette which is all I have. I then came across the Mini Lila Palette and fell in love. I actually love purple eyeshadows because they look great on most eye…

  • June Beauty Favourites

Finally summer is upon us in Halifax. We’ve had a good week of nice ish weather and I feel like summer is finally here. So, I’ve busted out all of my coral makeup items and I’ve been loving it. I don’t feel like its summer yet until I wear coral on my eyes, my cheeks, and my lips. Is that crazy of me?  So today I’ll be talking about a couple beauty products I have been loving this past month! I love a good face mist and what it adds to my skincare routine. I use a face mist instead of a toner because I find I can get more…

  • My Makeup Storage

As someone who has a decent amount of makeup, I love my makeup storage. I don’t have a huge apartment so my makeup storage doesn’t take up much room which is perfect. It also looks really nice and tidy. Is what I have right now going to be my forever solution? Probably not. But, it works for me right now and I’m hoping it will give you some ideas.  If you want to know about my makeup storage and where I got everything, read on! My makeup lives in the corner of my bedroom. My dresser is the perfect height for me to stand at with my vanity mirror and…

  • April Beauty Favourites

To counteract all the negativity in my last post, I thought I should do a favourites post! I love rummaging through my makeup drawers and looking at all the products I’ve used this month. All of these, actually, were no brainers. I love favourites posts so let’s get on with talking about my favourite beauty products from the month of April.  My journey to find the perfect face primer has been a tough one. I’ve tried so many that I don’t find do anything for my skin. But, the Huda Beauty Complexion Perfection Base Primer is my favourite one that I’ve tried. It makes my foundation glide on like butter and…

  • Disappointing Products

Do I love doing these posts? Yes and no. No, I don’t love hating on products which a company has worked hard to create but at the same time, I don’t love every single product I try. I try not to talk about bad products on my blog but sometimes I need to round up the ones that really disappointed me. This can either be because of the formula, the shade, it didn’t work for my skin, or other reasons.  So, today I’ll be talking about a few products that disappointed me.  First up might be a bit of a shock. I’m like most people in the fact that I…

  • Wet N Wild Colour Eyecon Eyeshadow Quad

If you have ever been doubtful of Wet N Wild products because the packaging isn’t that nice and they are the cheapest brand at the drugstore, you need to reevaluate your life. I have never tried a Wet N Wild product I don’t like. Even though they are a very inexpensive brand, their products are exceptional.  They recently reformulated and relaunched their Color Eyecon Eyeshadows. I have their original Comfort Zone Palette and love it. The used to only have trios and 8 pan palettes but they now only have quads and 10 pan palettes. When they came out with all of these new quads I wanted to try them…

  • Juvias’s Place Nubian Eyeshadow Palette

As you might be able to tell, I love warm eyeshadow palettes. The eyeshadows look amazing throughout the entire year. They look good on every skin tone, every eye colour, and everyone. I also love supporting smaller beauty brands. The brand Juvia’s Place has gotten some recognition this past year in the beauty community and so I wanted to give their eyeshadows a try. Of course the Nubian Eyeshadow Palette called to me so I got it! Today’s review will be all about the Juvia’s Place Nubian Eyeshadow Palette.  Juvia’s Place is an online beauty company that prides itself in rich, vibrant, and highly pigmented colours. They do all of…
