Deciem The Ordinary Serum Foundation | REVIEW

I was so sad when I didn’t like The Ordinary’s coverage foundation. I usually like almost everything from The Ordinary. So, when I didn’t like that one I thought I would for sure like the other foundation they came out with.

Todays review will be all about The Ordinary’s Serum Foundation.

The Claims: This foundation offers moderate coverage that looks natural with a very lightweight serum feel. It is very thin in consistency for easy blending. The pigments in this foundation are highly saturated and meant to look very natural on the skin. This foundation does not make fine lines for visible and has a great lasting power. It is made to go with one of The Ordinary’s primers.

This foundation comes in 21 shades and they are a great range. Each shade has one of 4 undertones: pink, red, yellow, or neutral. They claim of the website, because of the blend ability of the products, 3 shades will match you.

This foundation is $6.70 (CAD) and can purchased in The Ordinary’s website here

Left: Foundation, Right: No foundation

Since I didn’t really like the other The Ordinary Foundation, I didn’t have great expectations for this one. I am normally a full coverage kind of girl, except for when I’m working. When I’m working I like a light coverage foundation that will last all day. The consistency of this foundation is thin and very spreadable.

I put about a pump of foundation on the back of my hand and use a damp beauty sponge. It blends out beautifully and looks like my skin but better. It has a demi-matte finish but isn’t drying at all. My skin looked very healthy and natural while wearing this foundation.

With the rest of my makeup on, it looks like more of a medium coverage foundation. The lasting power on this foundation is also pretty good. I work 12 hour days and I would say it started to fade around hour 8.

My perfect shade right now is 1.1N, for reference. I find the shade guide on their website really accurate.

I love this foundation and will be repurcashing it again!

Have you ever tried this foundation? What did you think?
