Beauty Empties

Look at all my beauty trash! And no, I don’t mean everything I hate. I mean all of the products I have used up recently. And let me tell you, there is a lot of products up in here. Also, I feel like empty products are never ending. As soon as I do a post on all my empty products, it seems like I have another pile starting.

Anyways, today I’ll be talking all about the products I’ve used up recently and what I thought about them.

The Good:

Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentrate: This is probably my favourite day cream to use when my skin is dry. It’s amazing at prepping the skin before makeup. Totally recommend this! I have a review here

Farsali Gold Elixir: This is a gorgeous face oil. It contains 24K gold which is a great anti-aging property. This hydrates so nicely and smells really pretty.

Simple Cleansing Water: This is my favourite affordable micellar water. It’s around $8 and removes makeup like an absolute dream.

Cover FX Perfect Setting Powder: This is a great translucent setting powder alternative to the Laura Mercier one. It’s completely translucent and sets makeup super well. I would get this again.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara: The waterproof version of this mascara is the only mascara that will keep my lashes curled. It adds volume, defines, and keeps a curls. What else can you ask for in a mascara?

RCMA No Color Powder: Again, a great translucent setting powder. This has lasted me for like 2 years and I still technically have a little bit left. It’s also super affordable!

Batiste Dry Shampoo: Not only is Batiste my favourite dry shampoo but the Lotus scent is my favourite. It keeps my hair looking and smelling fresh when I haven’t washed it for a few days.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask: My all time favourite lip balm! I use this every night before bed and I wake up and my lips are super soft. I can’t recommend this enough!

Kat Von D Lock-It Setting Mist: No, I don’t agree with everything she does or says but the woman can make a good setting spray. I use this before all my 12 hour shifts and my makeup lasts like wo. The mister is super fine and it smells like cucumber!

Dolce & Gabbana Dolce perfume: I love this perfume and I’m sad it’s all gone. It’s quite a floral perfume but it’s like a fresh floral. It’s super pretty and lasts on the skin really well.

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid: This is my favourite hydrating serum! Hyaluronic acid attracts moisture to the skin so it’s great for me when I have dry skin. I use this every night and my skin has never been better.

The Ordinary Rose Hip Seed Oil: Speaking of my skin has never been better. This was amazing in the transition period between winter and spring. This is the best affordable oil!

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask: In case you can’t tell, I love hydrating products. This is one of my favourite night creams. It hydrates and plumps my skin like nothing else. If you have dry skin, you need this!

Vaseline Coco Body Butter: As you can see, I’ve also used up two of these and they are so good. I usually use body butter instead of body lotion because, I’m a dry soul. I’m dry everywhere and this body butter is super moisturizing. And super affordable!

The Meh:

The Body Shop Shower Cream in Shea: I didn’t completely get the point of this. On the one hand, it was great to shave my legs with but I didn’t find another purpose for it.

Vichy Body Milk: This was just straight up not moisturizing enough for me. I had it in my bathroom for ages and would just use this to moisturize my hands after I washed them

The Body Shop Body Cream in Sensual Amber: I love love love the scent of this lotion but again, it just wasn’t moisturizing enough for me. It was just meh for me.

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Mask: I liked this mask for the exfoliating effects but thats about it. I can’t find a better and more affordable exfoliator though.

The Not So Good:

Nivea In-Shower Lotion: I honestly just didn’t see the point in this. Using moisturizer on wet skin kind of freaks me out and I couldn’t use it.

Sephora Collection Cleansing Coconut Milk: This was just actually terrible at removing my makeup. It didn’t do the trick at all. They don’t even make this anymore which I think says it all.

Garnier Facial Mist with Rose: I didn’t even get half way through this. I just couldn’t use it. It burned the crap out of my eyes every time I used this. Most face mists actually do this to me but this one did it especially badly.
