Brand New Essence Cosmetics Eyeshadow Palettes

I am constantly on the hunt for amazing drugstore products. I am also always looking for better and better products. I went to my local Shoppers Drug Mart early the other morning to go makeup hunting and came across these brand new Essence Cosmetics 6 pan eyeshadow palettes. The look of the palettes initially caught my eye and then I saw the price and immediately grabbed 3 of the palettes!

The three palettes I bought are the Coral Me Maybe, Dancing Green, and Bronzed this way. I tested them out completely with swatches and doing an eye look with each palette.

These palettes are centred around “songs that you love” and are great for mixing and matching. I bought all of these palettes for $4.99 (CAD). They are vegan, cruelty free, alcohol free, and paraben free. The palettes come with 6 complimentary shades.

These palettes would be absolutely perfect for travelling. Each palette has a mirror that is the size of the palette itself. I really enjoy that every shade is each palette is complimentary to each other. You could use one palette to create a whole eye look or use 2 palettes and mix and match. In the palettes is a mix or shimmer, mattes, and satins.

I did notice all of these palettes have fallout so I do recommend doing your face makeup after your eye makeup or put a lot of powder under your eyes before doing your eye makeup with these shadows.

The Dancing Green Eyeshadow Palette has 6 natural green tones. The only shade in the palette that isn’t good is the lightest one. It has little to no pigment and does practically nothing. The mattes in this palette are amazing. They blend really well. The olive green is such a unique shade and looks great on my eyes. The shimmers don’t last looking super shimmery on my eyes after a few hours. This is my least favourite of all of the palettes I bought.

I absolutely love the Coral Me Maybe. I can create a soft glam look in 10 minutes or less. The corals in this palette are so so wearable. Corals are not shades of eyeshadow I gravitate towards but these are stunning. They are so amazing for the summer months. The dark matte brown is actually my least favourite shade in this palette. It’s not as deep and pigmented as I was hoping. I probably wouldn’t wear this palette any time of the year other than spring or summer.

The Bronzed This Way palette is the palette that drew me in the most. After using this palette, I am completely in love with it. The lightest shade in this palette is meh. I wish it was a lighter brown transition shade. If that was in there, this palette would be perfect. The shimmers are amazing in this palette. I applied all of the shimmers in each palette with my fingers and they applied like BUTTER.

If you are on a budget or just love trying out amazing drugstore products, pick these bad boys up. I for sure recommend the Bronzed This Way and the Coral Me Maybe palettes. I will be reaching for these quite often.
