Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Hyaluronic Clay Pore-Tight Facial Mask

Not only am I a huge fan of Glow Recipe but I am a huge fan of face masks. When Glow Recipe came out with the Watermelon Glow Hyaluronic Clay mask, I knew I had to try it and review it for you guys. It has so many words in the title I love. Watermelon? Yes. Glow? Yup. Hyaluronic? Yes please. Pore-Tight? Oh yeah.

So I skipped my booty to my local Sephora and picked it up!

This mask is a clay mask with hyaluronic-infused clay, BHA, PHA, and watermelon enzymes. It is meant to be non-drying, clear pores, smooth, and hydrate. According to the Sephora website, this mask is good for all skin types. Those are some heavy claims! It contains 60ml and is $53 (CAD). A bit of a steep price tag but, if it did all of the claims it promised then I would have no problem with the price tag. It can be purchased at Sephora or on the Glow Recipe website.

It comes with a plastic applicator that I didn’t use. I prefer to apply my face masks with a brush.

For suggested use, you are supposed to apply a generous amount to the face to a clean, moist face. Leave on for 5 minutes, for sensitive skin 2 minutes. Then wash off with warm water. It does say that a tingling sensation can happen.

Honestly, I’m having a hard time with this review. It’s not a bad mask but its not my favourite. The scent is a light watermelon, it doesn’t smell as strong as the other Glow Recipe watermelon products. The texture is a little more grainy than I expected. It did having a tingling sensation on my skin so I could see how people with sensitive skin wouldn’t like this.

My big thing with this mask, it didn’t do a whole lot for my pores. I don’t have huge pores but I didn’t notice a real difference in them after using this mask. It didn’t leave my skin feeling dry and my skin looked super fresh after using this mask.

For the price of the mask, I have others I like better and are cheaper. I would actually prefer to use the Aztec Clay Mask that I bought on amazon and then a hydrating sheet mask after it. I actually returned the Glow Recipe mask to Sephora because I straight up couldn’t justify the price when it didn’t do magical things for my skin. I’m totally okay with spending a little bit more money on products if they work.

I do not like doing reviews when I don’t absolutely love the product. It makes me so sad to be negative.
