October Beauty Favourites – Makeup, Tools, Fragrance

Another month come and gone! The scent in the air now is full blown fall. It’s crisp leaves, fires, and chilly air. Although, my husband woke up this morning and cursed about there being frost on the ground. I laughed, threw on a huge hoodie, and grabbed a hot cup of coffee. With another month gone, I think it’s time to talk about the beauty products I was loving in the month of October.

So, with that being said, let’s talk about some products I have been obsessed with the past month!

The Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Cosmetics Divine Neutrals Palettes is such a gorgeous neutral eyeshadow palette. The more I use it, the more I love it. The mattes are buttery, the shimmers are beautiful, and I can’t get enough. I can use it in so many ways. I also love it because it comes with a mirror. I can’t use this palette to do all of my makeup with the mirror. The price is also fantastic for the quality. I did a full review with swatches and an eye look on my blog here.

My newest brush purchase is the Quo Beauty Detail Highlighting Brush. It is one of the softest brushes I have. Quo is a brand I’ve never been super into. It’s a brand that is exclusive to Shoppers Drug Mart. I might have to dive more into this brand. The Detail Highlighting brush is perfect to do a diffused highlighter look. The name of the brush is a little deceiving because I don’t feel like its great to do detailed highlighting but it is gorgeous to do a highlighting look.

The Chloè perfume is one of my favourite all time perfumes and I have been wearing it like crazy lately. It is described on Sephora as a powdery floral and I know that might sounds gross but if you love floral scents, please go smell this! I pretty much only buy rollerballs nowadays because I don’t wear perfumes enough to use a full bottle but I think I will get a full size of this perfume.

A necessity for my brows has become a brow wax or styler. My favourite that I’ve tried is the Anastasia Brow Freeze. It works so well at making my brows look effortless and whispy. Is is effortless? Of course not but I want it to look that way. It makes my brows look so fluffy and stays that way all day long. You apply with a clean spoolie and a little goes a long way!

This may or may not come as a shock to you but pretty much the only foundation I’ve been using lately is the Covergirl Simply Ageless Foundation. I have gotten 2 compliments from 2 separate people about how great my skin looks while wearing this foundation. This is not only one of the best drugstore foundations I’ve ever tried, it’s on the best EVER foundations I’ve ever tried. It makes my skin look so smooth and flawless. I did a full review on this foundation here.
