The Best New Translucent Powder? RCMA No Color Powder
Well, this powder has been buzzing around the beauty community for a year or more now! I think it first started with one of my favourite YouTubers, KathleenLights and has just spiralled from there! Today, I’ll be talking all about the infamous RCMA No Colour Powder.
RCMA Makeup is a brand that is specifically made for professional makeup artists to be used in film, television, and on stage. All of their products cater to makeup artists in that they are either translucent or come in so many different shades.
The claims: This powder will keep your foundations set and dry without looking cakey or heavy. The No-Color Powder can be used for all powdering purposes. Since it has no filler or pigment it will not alter the color of foundation bases.
Where can you get this in Canada? First off, I have never seen this in store so I don’t think you can get it in store. If you live in the states you can get this powder right from rcmamakeup.net. If you live in Canada this powder can be found on Amazon.ca or Beautylish. The prices varies website to website so if you are interested, shop around!
This powder is giving my Laura Mercier Loose Translucent Powder a run for it’s money. It is a very finely milled powder and doesn’t look powdery on the skin at all. It look like you’re not even wearing any powder. The fact that it’s white might scare some people off but it doesn’t look ashy on the skin and gives off no colour. It also doesn’t alter the colour of your foundation. This powder does have Talc and Silica in it which can be irritation to some people but they both blur away imperfections. It keeps my makeup looking great all day long and doesn’t make me look oily at all. I do bake under my eyes with this powder and it does an amazing job with that.
My only negative about this powder it the packaging. It comes in a spice container packaging which is really hard to get the powder out of. I’ll probably (very carefully) transfer this powder to another container.
Have you tried out this powder? What do you think?

Oo i haven’t heard of it, glad to know there’s more options for translucent powder out there though! I can totally see myself spilling this everywhere.

The packaging isn’t very user friendly but the product is awesome!

I have been meaning to try this out. I agree that the packaging should be more user friendly. Great review.

I’ve heard amazing things about this powder, I really want to try it! The packaging scares me off a bit, too, perhaps I would keep an old powder jar and pour it in there.

The packaging looks tricky to use, I know I would have a hard time using it since I am so clumsy. But I don’t think it would be difficult to transfer it to another container.

It wasn’t at all! I put it into another loose powder container and it was super easy!

I’m really glad I found this review because I’ve been curious about this powder for ages. The white shade does put me off, but you’ve said this doesn’t give a chalky film so I might have to get this!

You do! Try transferring it to a more user friendly packaging!

It sounds like an awesome product, although that’s a bummer about the packaging. I would have been nervous about the white color, so I’m glad you noted that it really doesn’t give off color. Thanks for sharing!

I was a littler nervous about that too but it’s completely translucent!
The Nerdy Me
I haven’t heard about this powder before but now I’m very tempted to give it a go. It sounds quite great to me. I see why you’re not a fan of the packaging, maybe changing packaging is a good idea 🙂

I wish they would change the packaging! They must be keeping it for some reason though!

I’ve heard such huge hype over this product and everytime I’ve tried to get it (from the UK) it’s been sold out! Which is so annoying! I guess I’m gonna have to stick with my Laura Mercier powder for now 🙈

It’s so hard to get if your not in America! Keep trying! It’s amazing.

This sounds fantastic and I also prefer a loose powder when it comes to setting my foundation as it’s easier to apply and more lighter on the skin! I’ll need to give the LM powder a try it sounds fab! I’m sure we have it here in the UK xx

I prefer a loose powder too! Gives my skin a much more natural look.

I have read so many amazing reviews on this but never died it myself. I checked the price on Amazon.ca and it’s way overpriced!

I agree! Check on Beautylish if you interested! I think they do free shipping to Canada if you spend over 35$ (which isn’t hard)

Yes, I’ve heard Kathleenlights raving about this powder almost in every video of hers. This sounds so good and yes, the packaging is a real big con.

yees i heard this from kathleenlights too but i haven’t got the chance to try it out mainly because i can’t get RCMA here locally. i’m actually torn between buying this RCMA powder or trying out the NYC loose translucent. so far, i can only find online resellers that sell RCMA powder in a shared jar which means i won’t get a full product 3oz product and i don’t really fancy that idea. the packaging sucks so bad though. youtuber jaclyn hill put the RCMA powder into her sephora powder packaging and i think i’ll have to do that if i were to use RCMA haha
