Versed Skin – Skin Soak Cream and Zero-G Eye Cream Review

Skincare is a complete love of mine. And new skincare? Even better! So, when a new skincare brand comes out, I want to try as many products as I think will work for my skin. I went ahead and picked up their Skin Soak Rich Moisture Cream and the Zero-G Smoothing Eye Cream.

The simple packaging really caught my eye at my local Shoppers Drug Mart. It’s sleek and the brand is super visible on all of the products. Versed Skincare just started being carried near me and I couldn’t wait to try it.

Versed Skincare is a Los Angelas based skincare brand and is a clean brand. They exclude many toxins and questionable ingredients from their products. The brand also goes by the European Union standards which has bans on thousands of ingredients from products.

The Skin Soak Rich Moisture Cream contains algae, vitamin E, and squalene. The cream keeps your skin nourished and moisturized while fighting off signs of aging. It can be used as a day or night cream or both. It is $24.99 (CAD).

I have been using this moisturizer as my night cream for about 2 weeks now and my skin has felt so nourished going to bed. It has little to no scent so it would be great for sensitive skin. It goes super smooth on the skin. It’s not the richest cream I’ve ever used but I would say it’s a middle of the road rich cream.

Let’s move onto the Zero-G Smoothing Eye Cream. It contains algae, firming peptides, and olive oil. It leaves a soft focus under the eyes with an illuminating effect due to mica in the cream. You can use this day or night. It’s peach in colour and you can definitely see the illuminating mica.

I use about a pea size for both my eyes every night and have been doing so for about 2 weeks now. It’s not the most hydrating eye cream ever. It’s more of a gel cream than a full blown cream. I really like how illuminating it is under the eyes and would look amazing under makeup to give you a nice glow. It’s light and creamy. I’ll be keeping this to use during the day but I don’t think it’s hydrating enough for me at night. It would be amazing for someone with oily skin.

This brand is a really interesting one. The fact that I can buy this at the drugstore and it’s a clean brand is so nice. I’m not a person who only sticks to clean brands but when you find a product that’s great and just happens to not have toxic ingredients, it’s a win-win. I’ll be picking up some more products from this brand for sure.
