• April Beauty Favourites

To counteract all the negativity in my last post, I thought I should do a favourites post! I love rummaging through my makeup drawers and looking at all the products I’ve used this month. All of these, actually, were no brainers. I love favourites posts so let’s get on with talking about my favourite beauty products from the month of April.  My journey to find the perfect face primer has been a tough one. I’ve tried so many that I don’t find do anything for my skin. But, the Huda Beauty Complexion Perfection Base Primer is my favourite one that I’ve tried. It makes my foundation glide on like butter and…

  • Physician’s Formula The Healthy Foundation REVIEW

I feel like so many brands have brought out new foundations lately. Is that just me? At the drugstore and at Sephora, so many amazing brands are coming out with new and amazing foundations. Foundations might be one of my favourite thing to test out.  Also, anything with the word “healthy” in the title, I’m all about. I want my skin to look healthy, luminous, and natural but also perfected. If a foundation can do that, I’m all in. I was super excited about trying the brand new Physician’s Formula The Healthy Foundation, but had a hard time finding it. That’s always the way it is in Canada but I…

  • Valentines Day Makeup Look – 3 Ways

I have to say, I’m one of those people who loves Valentines Day. I love celebrating and being with the person I love. I also love doing holiday makeup looks. Themed makeup looks are just so fun to do! This Valentine’s Day I’m spending the day doing some self love and then going to a romantic dinner with my boyfriend and eating my weight in carbs.  Also this year, I thought I would do 3 different makeup looks to celebrate the day. I did a soft and pretty look, a classic look, and a bold look.  Face:  L’Oreal Pro Glow Foundation Tarte Shape Tape Concealer RCMA No Colour Powder Physicians…

  • Tarte Shape Tape Hydrating Foundation | REVIEW

Let me say, first of all, the shade range of this foundation is absolute crap. Second of all, the shade I picked for myself is wrong. It’s too dark for me and I know. But, I was so freaking excited to try this foundation because of the fact that it’s TARTE SHAPE TAPE FOUNDATION. The most amazing concealer that has ever blessed us, now has a foundation to go along with it.  I feel like most of what I’ve done lately is review foundations. But, I love the heck out of foundations and I love trying to find the perfect foundation for my skin.  As soon as this foundation was…

  • Maybelline Superstay 24HR Foundation | REVIEW

I’m not going to lie, I have never tried the old version of this foundation and had no idea they stopped making it. Anyways, I’m always down to try a new (and improved?) drugstore foundation. Since I never tried the original version of this foundation I have nothing to compare it to, other than the dozens of other foundations I have tried. I was super excited to try this out and hopefully find another drugstore foundation gem! Today, we’ll be talking all about a new full-coverage foundation from Maybelline.  This, as taken from the Maybelline website is a full-coverage 24 hour wear foundation that won’t fade throughout the day. This…

  • My Search for the Perfect Primer

I love a good face primer as much as the next beauty lover but I always found that I was doing it as a step because I thought I had to. The primers I have used in the past didn’t do anything magical for my makeup so I had given up on primers. But, with all of these amazing bloggers and youtubers I follow being so crazy about primers, I figured I should give it another go. Today, I’ll be talking about face primers and the ones I plan on putting to the test.  Face primers may seem like an extra step in your makeup routine but they can completely…

  • 2017 Makeup Favourites

Another year gone, another year with me spending WAY too much money on makeup. It has gotten to the point that no one wants to get me makeup for christmas because they just assume I have all the makeup. Which, I mean, is so untrue. So if anyone reading this ever wants to get me a gift, I will happily accept more makeup.  With this being the start of 2018, a brand new year, I thought I would go through my makeup stash and round up all my favourite products from the last year. I’ll be sure to link any posts dedicated to individual products that I talk about.  If…

  • Deciem The Ordinary Serum Foundation | REVIEW

I was so sad when I didn’t like The Ordinary’s coverage foundation. I usually like almost everything from The Ordinary. So, when I didn’t like that one I thought I would for sure like the other foundation they came out with.  Todays review will be all about The Ordinary’s Serum Foundation.  The Claims: This foundation offers moderate coverage that looks natural with a very lightweight serum feel. It is very thin in consistency for easy blending. The pigments in this foundation are highly saturated and meant to look very natural on the skin. This foundation does not make fine lines for visible and has a great lasting power. It is…

  • Dissapointing Beauty Products

Womp womp womp. Another round of disappointing beauty products coming at you. I have a love/hate relationship with these types of posts. On one hand, I find it helpful when someone advises me against a product because they had a bad experience. On the other hand, I don’t find it nice talking badly about products.  So, let me preface this by saying, I love all the brands I’m about to talk about. In fact, some of them are a few of my favourite brands of beauty products. And, just because I don’t like a product doesn’t mean you wouldn’t. Just take everything I say with a grain of salt.  If…

  • Spring Ulta Haul 2017

I so wish we had an Ulta Beauty in Canada. So, when my sister told me she’s was going to the states a couple times over the next few months I recruited her to take my list to Ulta and get me some things I’ve been dying to try. It might actually be good that we don’t have Ulta here because I would spend all of my money there.  I decided to pick up some things that I couldn’t get in Canada but also some things that I just haven’t seen or are hard to get my hands on. Makeup Revolution was at the top of my list for products…
