January Product Empties

Empties are one of my favourite posts because I get to throw out all the stuff I’ve been collecting over the past little while. If you don’t know what empties are I basically talk about all the products I’ve used up recently. These are a really great way to get someones truest opinion on a product because it’s completely empty! So, you pretty much get to go through my beauty trash with me. Hope you enjoy!

For the most part I use up skincare products. I go back and forth between different makeup products all the time but when I find a skincare product I like I use it until it’s all gone.

Makeup

  1. Urban Decay Primer Potion in Anti Aging: By no means do I think my eyelids need anti aging but this eyeshadow primer is one of my favourites! I use an eyeshadow primer whenever I put on eyeshadow because it makes all the colours more vivid and makes them last much longer. This primer has a bit of a skin toned tint to it and it’s also a smoothing. This makes my eyeshadow last super well and helped my eyeshadow not to crease! I will be repurchasing this!
  2. Essence Forbidden Volume Mascara: This mascara was just meh to me. The wand was too big for my eyes and it was a very clumpy formula which I’m not a huge fan of. It didn’t do a whole lot for a lashes other than make them clump together. I won’t be repurchasing this.
  3. L’oreal Brow Definer in Dark Brunette: This is the best brow pencil from the drugstore I’ve ever found! It is incredibly similar to the Anastasia Brow Wiz in that the tip is very fine so you can make very realistic hair like strokes. It’s also not too pigmented so you can build up the intensity which I like. I don’t like a really pigmented brow pencil that you have to keep blending to make work. I love this brow pencil! I will absolutely be repurchasing this.
  4. Laura Mercier Loose Translucent Powder: This is my favourite loose powder of all time. No ifs, ands, or buts about that. It sets my foundation amazingly, it never looks heavy, keeps my face matte while still looking natural. I have already repurchased this amazing powder.

Skincare

  1. Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream: This cream does it all. It can soothe a sunburn, keep brow hairs in place, hydrate lips and cuticles, and heal rough dry skin. I mostly use it for my lips and my cuticles. I love this product. It keeps my lips very hydrated. I keep this in my night stand and always use it before bed. This tube also lasted me for about a year so it’s well worth it. I will probably repurchase this but I’ve using a different lip balm right now that I’ll talk about another time 😉
  2. Glam Glow Supermud Clearing Treatment: I had never tried this mask before getting this sample size and it’s really cool! This mask goes on grey and dries white. When it dries it shows all your pores and shows all the junk in your pores. This mask was great for clearing out pores or using as a spot treatment when I got a blemish. I wouldn’t put this all over my face because I think it would be too drying but I loved it for clearing my pores and making my face seem super clean. I would repurchase this but I want to try and find something just as good for a more affordable price!
  3. May Coop Raw Sauce: I used this as my toner for a couple of months and absolutely loved it! It says on the directions to apply to clean hands or a cotton pad, then apply to face. I always used my hands because the cotton pad absorbed too much product and I wanted to savour it. It made my face feel very hydrated. I felt a difference in the texture of my skin when using this product. I don’t currently have it and I’m missing it. I will be repurchasing this as soon as I run out of the toner I’m using right now.
  4. Simple Cleansing Micellar Water: These cleansing waters are a huge craze and for good reason. They remove all your makeup and don’t leave a film on your skin like other makeup removers. They literally just feel like water but they take off your makeup like a dream. This Simple one is the best one I’ve ever tried and I’ve tried a lot. It’s made for sensitive skin so it doesn’t burn my eyes and I love using this to remove my makeup. I already have repurchased this and plan to buy more!

What are some beauty products you use up on a regular basis?
