January Beauty Favourites

Is it way too basic of me to say, how is January already gone? Well, even if it it, I can’t believe were already more than a month into 2018. As I get older, time seems to go faster and faster and that’s why my motto is ‘Enjoy all the makeup’. It’s not actually but I made it one of my New Years resolutions to get more invested in my blog and to really enjoy it. So far, I’m loving it!

For today, I’m gonna be talking all about the products I have been obsessed with this past month.

The Dior Airflash Foundation is so expensive it hurts me a little bit. But, I can’t say enough good things about this foundation. It gives me such great coverage but looks like nothing on my skin. It lasts a decent amount of time and never looks dry or cakey on my skin. I have a full review on it here

For eyeshadow palettes, I have been obsessed with two this month. First off is the Kylie Cosmetics Nice Palette. This palette was pretty hyped for about 4 days and then everyone seemed to forget about it. I did no such thing. I have been using this sucker like crazy. The mattes are absolutely incredible in this palette. The only thing I wish is that there was a metallic lid colour that was champagne. If it had that, it would be my perfect palette. I can create so many looks with this. Unfortunately this is sold out (huge sad face).

Next is the Huda Beauty Warm Brown Obsessions palette. Like the Kylie palette, the mattes are amazing. I can create a day time look with this palette or a smokey night time look. This is a warm eyeshadow lovers dream palette. I have a full review on this palette here

I don’t think I’ve ever featured these lashes on my blog but these have become my favourite. Another from Huda Beauty are the Easy Lash in Camille. They are kind of like a 3/4 lash in that, they don’t go all the way to the corner of your inner eye. They have an amazing eye opening effect and add a bit of drama to any look.

Jumping over to skincare for a quick second, I have to give a major dry skin shout out to the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. I have been using this as a night cream for the past month and my skin feels so amazing and plump when I wake up. I feel instant relief when I use this cream. The directions for this ‘mask’ actually say to leave it on overnight. I can’t get enough of this stuff!

Back to makeup. If you have noticed my highlight recently on Instagram (@thinkingofmakeup), it has been the Sleek Cosmetics Soltice Highlighting Palette. But, I really only use the shade in the bottom right corner. It looks like a peachy shade and it gives my skin the most amazing highlight. It makes my skin look almost wet, which I’m pretty into right now. I always thought this product was all hype but I was so wrong. I’m so in love with this highlight.
